Hey, y'all, I heard that they want the lead singer of Alter Bridge to tour with them if RP won't. Alter Bridge is most of the members of Creed (not Scott Stapp) with a new lead singer. They're not bad but I can't imagine Steve Adler (that's his name) fronting Led Zep. he just doesn't fit the band. Magni, on the other hand, would be great. He's definately got the voice for it.
I also like the idea of bringing back some of the top vote getters from previous seasons. It would be a pat on the back from Mark Burnette, who could definately afford it with all the $$$ that Survivor stuff brings in for him. He certainly didn't use much to promo ANYONE from either of the RS shows. I'll try to get over and vote and comment I'd love to see it back as well. I LOVED the House Band on both the shows as well as Rock the Cradle. They're awesome...

Hey, Eyecatcher, if you didn't watch Rockstar, how did you know of MiG? I've forgotten if you've mentioned that! You're the 2nd or 3rd person to ask me this question. I've been meaning to answer this but was too lazy to type long posts. So here it goes........ If there is one area Filipinos would excel in or are known for, it's always in music. Unfortunately, no Filipino has ever made it big in hollywood or in the US for that matter. Only Lea Salonga. (Unfortunately for her, Filipinos are not theater goers). So when we hear someone's doing well there, that's big news to us; as in the case of Arnel Pineda (Journey) recently. When rockstar inxs was shown here, that was only the time Mig was known here. He was a unknown up until that time. He became popular due to the fact that he was related to a high profile lawyer/family here. Anyway, a lot of my friends was telling me to watch the show and vote for him. I told them, "no, I don't like rock music" thinking that they would be playing/singing the heavy meatal stuff. Besides, i'm the type of person who would like to know the ending first then find out the details/what happened later (flashback). Finally, I got curious and watched rockstar and got to see Mig perform. "Hmmm....not bad".Unfortunately, it was also the day before he got eliminated . I got hold of his cd and I actually liked it and began watching his performance via youtube. I also bought a dvd copy of rockstar inxs show but to my disappointment, it only showed a few of their performances and not all of the contestants were there. I wanted to find out more and began reading all the articles I could find. That's how I found team mig. I'm tired .............

That is quite a round-a-bout story, Eye! Most all of us here saw MiG as the show unfolded. I can't think of anyone else who got it second-hand like that! But glad you did and found us. And since MiG's career had pretty much been all stage work, I can see how he wouldn't be known in the Phils like he was in Oz and the UK. I don't think more than a few people in the US knew of him until Rockstar either. Nancy, that would be cool for Deanna to be in another episode! Whew, when would she find the time!!!

Needless to say, I regret not watching the show; I thought they would show replays of it but alas, they didn't .

I wish you could have seeen the whole thing eyecatcher. It was a great show and I was very disappointed when MiG didn't win. I watched the entire series and didn't know about the online stuff though. It was only after the series was over that I was looking online to see if MiG was going to do a record that I found TeamMiG and my interest just went up from there. I hope you saw the youtube of he and Lea Salonga performing together. She does have such a beautiful voice. ps If there is anytime you would like to tell us your real name instead of eyecatcher, that would be fine too.

I know there used to be someone online that made dvd's of the whole RSI, including the "mansion" parts. I think he was only charging about $50 for the set. Not bad, really, but I am not sure how anyone would be able to find it anymore. The Mansion episodes were so awesome, and really made the show unique. Also, that's where Burnett used selective editing to create "story lines". Some real, some not so real. The story lines they hinted at through the editing created a lot of buzz in the Rockstar viewing community. I didn't start catching those epi's until around week 3.

Toni- The only one I know of who did QUALITY copies of RSI was a friend of mine in NY named John Ares and he was charging $75 for the entire series (The VH1 mansion eps and all and, yes, I got them from him) WITHOUT commercials. If I can find his listing that he sent me I can probably post his email addy for those interested since he can dub them for any region/country. He also may have lowered his prices too. I'll try to find out if anyone wants to know.

Wanda, I have an idea...since over at Rockband they are very interested in bringing back Rockstar, you could ask Cheryl if she thinks it would spark interest if you could post that info! If your friend is ok with selling more DVD's, that is.

If your friend is ok with selling more DVD's, that is. A question that might or might not be relevant - is it legal to tape things off the tv and then sell them? At some point I'm going to have to watch Rockstar. I'm not sure how I missed it. I spent a few days in September 2005 in the hospital with cable tv (to have a baby) and for all my flicking around I never saw it.

It's hard to know all the laws regarding that type of thing. To be safe, that may not be something you guys want to post online.

Well, true dat, but the dvd's I saw offered were postings on message boards! Anyway, if this guy wants to make some change, it's something that could be done by PM's!

You may be right about that. John contacted me to see if I was interested but I also know he has his own website where he sells dvds/vhs in all formats. His majorcollection is Duran Duran where he has EVERYTHING I think I've ever seen. A little background, John is a professional filmographer who used to have his own cable access television show in NYC a few years ago.
If anyone would like his email address you can PM me and I'll give it to you. John's a sweetie and still lives in NYC. I think I own all the stuff he has on INXS but very little of his Duran stuff since he has over a HUGE selection of D2 stuff collected during the last 25+ years.
