Dale- I've got the same problem with webtv but I've not had problems getting onto myspace with it, just can't watch videos or listen to music-BUMMER. I go to the library 7 days a week for that. I'm looking into something better for home but it'll have to wait until I get my income tax back next year, if then. Good luck with your new 'puter. Wanda Thank you Wanda. I've been limited on my electronics since the computer's second hard drive crashed last October and the TV set picture tube was blown out by the power company power surge last December. I'm in negotiations with them about repairing or replacing the TV set. The surge protectors are on everything, but they didn't do the job this time. I'm not able to use the library computer, as it is used all the time by students. This is a very small town in the country. I can get into MySpace, most of the time, but it is large profiles or those with lots of graphics or friends, I guess, that I can not load. So if I want to join one as a friend, I write a message from the Search area once I see the name listed. This little story shows just how nice some people are. I wnted to have Steve Jobs, the CEO and inventor of Apple Computers, as a friend. I tried for 90 minutes to get into his MySpace profile. That's the longest I've waited online to load anything. When I couldn't get in, I wrote to him asking to be his friend and mentioned the attempt. He wrote me back right away and asked if he could help. And what kind of computer did I need and would I like to chat? That blew me away that he would be so kind and take the time. So now when I can't get in, I write to the people. They read my messages, but usually they don't write back. Sometimes I get an invitation to be their friend, which is what Steve Jobs did. But I still must wait until I get the computer to see his profile. Online life can be interesting, can't it? I will get to hear the music and see the videos eventually I hope. Thanks for the support each of you have given me here. Dale

Even if you can't see the vids, you might be able to subscribe! And even if you can't actually see them on the library computer, can you download the video files onto a cd at the library? And take the disk home to play? I am sorry you guys are having such issues with being online. I feel greedy just complaining about dealing with dial-up! I know that the cost of computers that are basic and don't have all sorts of extra goodies are going down. But even the best deals are quite a chunk o' change! As much as I love my internet, it is too bad that it locks out so many people from online goodies.

They'd be rolling in the dough, and road rage would be wiped out...cuz MiG makes everyone smile. The only problem is that I would be in a daze and run off the road! Kay

As much as I love my internet, it is too bad that it locks out so many people from online goodies. Toni: I can watch videos on YouTube at the library without a problem. I can't watch the clips in the gallery unless I'm on one of the five computers on the first floor (I usually go to the kiddie section on the 4th floor to do my emailing because they've got 16 computers up there and you don't have to sign in every half-hour like you do on the first floor (you get two hours max each day) FREE so it's great. And, no, you can't download anything to cd at the library although the techology is there on the computers their firewalls prevent downloading of anything you can't put on a floppy disc (that's why I can get pictures for my screensaver at home but nothing else). Right now I'm in Massachusetts on vacation and have access to download things, especially the stuff on the gallery (videos and stuff) because I've got broadband access right now. Wanda

Hahaha, Wanda, the people in Mass. are gonna wonder why you are at the computer 24/7 instead of visiting them!
