Nancy and I talked the other day about a couple of ideas that I had and I thought I would share!
Having a teenage daughter, I figured that would be a good way to spread MiG's music to the younger set! You know....getting her to play it via Ipod or Cd or whatever, among her friends.
Also, I'm going to give a CD to my hair stylist so he can play it at the salon! A good way to reach a lot of ears!

Hint: Where ever it's played have the case sitting up nearby. When I play it at work on the display, I always have the cd there standing up. In fact, I leave the case up there even when I have Queen on, or the radio. I have noticed that people will stop and look at the cd cover, and maybe it will trigger something when they looking at cd's and see that cover.

My problem with giving a copy to my hairdresser was that he took it to listen to in the car and his girlfriend won't let him take it back into the shop.

hey, have make him buy her one for her own, that's another sale!!!! And he might as well buy one for the shop, another sale!!! Then you can have your copy back to loan to someone else - temporarily.

oh, that's a great idea with displaying the case........ and my hairstylist won't have the "girlfriend borrowing" problem. He broke up with his "long time companion" about 6 months ago and is NOT ready for a new relationship! lol
I'll see what else I can think of. Hey, who knows......maybe I can convince the cheer team to use one of his songs in their routine music for the upcoming season....hmmmmmmmm

Great ideas, guys! The salon, displaying the CD case, etc. And Carol - it would be awesome if your daughter's cheer team would use a song in their routine! That would really get a lot of attention. And every time they practice people would hear it too.

Toni-Actually, Ted has to deal with other stylists in the shop... he has the upstairs with no door and they're downstairs but noise carries. He usually has the radio on Talk Radio when he's there. He knows to shut off Rush Limbaugh when I come in though. LOL. I'll suggest he play the cd in the shop when I'm there (and I'm due for a shampoo and cut in a couple of weeks) because, from what he's said, he really likes the originals as well as the covers. Hey, any guy that would sit in the nosebleed section of an arena (right behind me) to see Duran Duran in 1985 has my vote. He's cool. Wanda

I've been doing that with my friends and so far two of them have gone out and bought their own CDs!

I met a DJ on Gather from an independent radio station (probably/maybe small?) who told me he'd play the CD if he had one. I'm heading to the post office to send him one. I'm guessing that Decca only sends to so many stations, so maybe we could start a grassroots effort to send a copy to independent or local stations? Just an idea

The girl that my daughters and I go to to get our eyebrows done always has music playing while we're there. I suggested that MiG's CD would be a wonderful addition to her collection, gave her postcards and she said she would definitely buy it. She actually asked me if I had it on me so she could hear it...darn #thdoh-1# that was a missed opportunity. I now carry the CD in my bag wherever I go
