Yes it was a full house, and it was also a full house tonight. Yes he was surprised to see us . As for the tour, who knows as each place it goes can have different cast members. No we won't be going tomorrow, unfortunately. So MiG is NOT going to be on the whole tour with the show? That's disappointing!! #1381# Where did me answer disappear to, lol. Donna, the answer is maybe. It is currently unknown.

I know it's very hard not knowing about where you can plan to see MiG in Burn the Floor. He knocked it out of the park! I hope as many people as possible can get to see him in the show. Those of us who saw it twice already would like to see it again!
I'll post more tomorrow night about the show and our star. Just got home late tonight.

So sorry you aren't feeling well, Toni. Thanks for the links. I keep hoping to find a review by someone of MiG's actual performance. It's natural that we all think he is fantastic, but it would be interesting to get a less subjective opinion. Just curious.

OK, I have come to the conclusion that New York was trying to starve me, lol. Seems that when I would order something, they would be out of it. Go figure, as if they couldn't replenish the stock when they ran out. Grrrr. First I wanted onion rings in the bar/grill we ate at...no onion rings. Then I wanted a shrimp and beet dish. Out of beets. So I asked if they could replace with anything else and they suggested grilled onions. That sounded fine and I was all ready for a pile of grilled onion with the shrimp, so they bring the order, and I think they grilled one thin onion slice and spread it around. Sigh. Next day, after a bit too much in the beverage department, I couldn't think of anything I could stand to eat for lunch, but at Wendy's they have a big banner "warm cinnabuns all day". THat sounded perfect, so we wait in line and I order, and of course, they were out of the buns. I had coffee. Next time I'm packing my lunch.

BTW Your answer is still there on the previous page. If you read my comment, I said the WHOLE tour. I was really hoping he would get someplace close to my neck of the woods. Still have my fingers crossed. I know several people who would love to see him and maybe even get to meet him. I guess it could still happen. I haven't given up all hope yet!

No really, he was amazing! Any of the people we chatted up in the audience, to a one, loved him. In fact, we found a little korean student who we met after the show to let her meet MiG. She didn't have any idea who he was before the show, but after she saw him perform she was so excited to meet him. Earlier she had said she wasn't going to go to the show in Korea because it was too expensive to take the train but afterwards she declared that if MiG is going to be in it, she will definitely go to see him again. Now we all know how good he is in his different performances we've seen on tv and in person, but I was still unprepared at how good he was in this. Well, yes, there is always the possibility he will be touring...I can't wait to find out! I, too, have people who will come to see him. And I think my lost post was because I had forgotten to hit "post" and had to repost it...using the phone online is handy but a little harder than a regular computer. btw, MiG sang two of the songs in foreign language, one was spanish, the other I'm not sure...the music and costumes suggested something african. He was spot on with the accents!!!

A few pictures to get us started... This is the Longacre Theater stage from above. The architecture is gorgeous inside and outside, and the chandeliers are so pretty. Here we are before the evening show. (No - the fur isn't real!) MiG and Christina - how cute! More pics and info coming soon...

It's so hard to describe the show. There were so many numbers and MiG was in a bunch of them. He seemed to have a very integrated part for a vocalist, he interacted with the dancers, orchestra, and props, and he was the one who announced the credits...after it was over, he introduced the band members and all the dancers. Not only did he sing with perfection, but he did a lot of dancing and used the mic, chairs, stairs, etc as props. He did many different styles. On one he sat on the corner of the stage with nothing but a blue light and sang, on another he sat on a chair at a table and sang while they danced around him and with some interaction with the dancers, on several he sang at the top of the stairs near the band, and he did a lot of dancing up there and on the stairs. It was fun to see him in different styles of clothing to go with the style of music.

It was fun to see MiG light up the stage in every number, whether it was a ballad, boogie, or finale. He looked awesome and sounded absolutely fantastic. I loved the one when he sat casually on the corner of the stage and sang Burn For You. It was so beautiful and moving. I was very impressed with the vocal control, emotion and gorgeous tone. I'm sure the dancers were excellent and extremely talented in that number as they were in all others, but I didn't really watch them for that one or any of MiG's songs! I have my priorities! ;D
Note: if you don't want to hear anything about some of the songs MiG sings, you may wish to skip the following comments. I won't tell everything, but enough to give you a flavor of the show.
I got a kick out of Fishies - MiG sat on a stool on the right of the stage and was more dressed up for that one - a suit and tie. He looked quite dapper! The song is fun, and MiG showcased a bit of that appealing lower register.
He shocked me with Dirty Boogie - the man has got even more moves than I realized! He had the cool 40s look for that one. and a ton of energy.
As Toni mentioned, for a couple songs I wasn't sure of the origin of the song, but they were fabulous! MiG was smooth and a complete professional. Great sound!
He also sang a duet, which he always excels at, and rocked the night away for a couple other songs. There were some MiG SiGnature moves for those! He has a great stage presence, and filled the stage. He seemed as though he'd been doing the show for years - an impeccable performance from beginning to end. MiG's vocals were outstanding, and the dancing and connection with other performers and the audience were equally impressive.
The dancers, choreography, music and costumes were stunning. MiG blended in yet made it so much better with his talent and artistry.

Jaunty! I'm so glad you stopped in! You are missed, my dear! Don't worry - there are a lot of wonderful things ahead for MiG, and you'll be able to experience them in the future. We'll have all kinds of things to get together to celebrate! MiG has more talent than he knows what to do with... And a new CD coming out this year .... many good things are ahead for him. I know that's true. Maybe there will be something coming up that will be impossible for everyone to miss! Thank you for your very sweet comment about the picture. I think MiG makes everyone smile more when he's in a picture with them. : ) It's so special for him to pose for pictures. Don't work too hard, Jaunty! Then you can stop by more often and have more time for yourself too. Say hi to your darlin' daughter Kianna and Deanna too!
