I agree Toni but I do appreciate that from two seasons it brought to my life several musicians who I enjoy and who I probably wouldn't be aware of otherwise. It would be nice if they got more of a boost from the show though to be sure.

That is true, if it weren't for Rockstar, I would never have known about , or met, MiG, Brandon, Marty, Suzie, Ty, Deanna, Tara, Toby, and more...and a whole bunch of new friends! I just wanted more for the rockstars, they are all so talented. It is so awesome to see MiG get his due from the Rock of Ages reviewers!

So true Toni. They LOVE him! I love the comments about his voice and sense of humor and esp-better than the original Stacee. That Stacee got great reviews too so that is an amazing complioment. I am so delighted for MiG, Simmy and for us who have all waited knowing he deserves all of this

that's correct...but we don't know if MiG himself will be in it. AFAIK, I have only heard that Constantine and Rebecca are in it. I really hope MiG is in it, that would be such great exposure.

Time to get the show on the road and start filling you in on Rock of Ages in Chicago and MiG's performance! I'll start it off with a few pictures, but first have to say that MiG is unbelievable in Rock of Ages as Stacee Jaxx. He blew my mind. My jaw dropped on several occasions for various reasons - ha! I was so impressed with MiG. His voice is incredible, he looks awesome (abs, biceps, pectorals, and other various muscles of steel! LOL), he takes up the stage, and is HILARIOUS. I knew his fun sense of humor would come through in so many ways, and it does. Even though I saw the show a number of times, I laughed just as loud each time. The first time MiG appeared, I said "OH MY" out loud in the theater (oooooops!). He makes quite the "entrance." There's a reason MiG received such glowing reviews. He deserves every one them! The entire cast is superb, and the music is fantastic. MiG was so thoughtful and accommodating to everyone who asked for an autograph or photo, and he spent time talking with everyone. Some photos to get us started.... ROA in Lights Outside the Bank of America Theatre

I had such a great weekend in chicago with good friends Toni and Darrell and Kay at the theater and it was so nice to see Nancy for brunch. We saw the show several times-once from good seats and then we had balcony seats for the other shows except a kind soul who we met during the trip clued us into some orchestra seats on the final day. I was sporting a crutch this trip and the staff at the Bank of America theater couldn't have been nicer to me during my gimpiness
So to the Rock of Ages-what a fun Rocking good time!! Like some other musicals I have seen the plot line was pretty thin but that is actually part of the story and even the cast have lines that laugh at itself a little. so that aside- Great music and songs, Fabulous strong cast-MiG totally shines as id kid rocker Stacee Jaxx. He has amazing sense of comedic timing and had the audience laughing every time he came onto the stage. His voice has never sounded better and since his wardrobe was a bit limited he luckily is in as fine a physique as ever also LOL. What I didn't know is what a great dancer he is(I wasn't lucky enough to see Burn the Floor) He totally rocked the role and had the audience enthralled with his performance as I heard several people comment who were sitting around me. I bet the producers are giving themselves high fives that he will anchor that role so effectively on tour. He has made the role his own in a very short period. Another actor(tress actually) who has done that is Rebecca playing Sherrie. Like MiG she really fills the stage with her performance of Sherrie. She has a fabulous voice that didn't sound stressed at all even after her 4th show in the weekend. I have seen the videos of the original Stacee and Sherrie and tour goers are in for a treat. The talent matches or exceeds that I saw in the video clips of Broadway. Constantine wowed his fans to be sure and the energy of Saturday evening and Sunday's show was really topnotch although the other show was great too. The cast really gets energized by the audience reaction I think and Chicago loved this show! I hate to leave out any of the others because it is such an amazing cast=esp Lonny, Franz, Regina and all the rest. The Ensemble is wonderful. I recommend seeing it when it comes near you to be sure. It is worth a weekend trip to see it. I had a blast Of course we visited the stage door after every show. The cast was appreciative of all the positive comments they got and were all happy to sign autographs and take pictures. I love seeing people when they get to interact with MiG esp for the first time. There were many people that waited just to see him and none left disappointed. He is so happy being in this show that he has such a joyful glow. I am so thrilled he has a job he is enjoying so much and how many thousands more people are becoming aware of his talent. MiG can do it all, Sing, Dance Write, Act and be so funny. We met up with some other MIG fans after the Sunday show. Gina and Harmony came and it was nice to chat with them after the show. Next are pictures

So good to see MIG after the first show. Grins all around So we were trying to figure out how to fit Toni me and Kay and the sign into a frame and to our delight our favorite ROAer joined us-however Darrell snapped it before we got our pose together lol. MiG-love the mug that MiG is doing. I just look clueless as usual and Toni and Kay look pretty as usual Better shot but I didn't have the camera angled right so that Darrell could get the whole marquuis in-anybody great with the photoshopping(remember the Cleveland fountain lol) Smiling again-MIG celebrating another good performance with us and the rest of his fans at the stage door. Loved hearing-wow is that MiG Ayesa and how excited they were to get to see him It wouldn't be a migmeet without Toni adding a siggy to her shirt. Even MiG wanted to know how many there were now. The shot originally had me and Darrell in it but again I look clueless so can't be posting too many. Besides Toni and MiG look so adorable in this Back in Chicago-this time Darrell isn't hiding in the back-that smile is too great for the back row! The stage door attendant told us everyone was gone. We didn't believe it but he said it was so so Kay and I were fooling around and taking some friend shots. We almost got knocked on our kiesters(is that a word) when the stage door guy and MiG came walking out-he had gone and found him for us and there were a group of happy people rewarded for sticking around Here are just a few of the people waiting to say hi To MiG aka Stacee Harmony and Gina(it was great to meet you) There was another guy that had made a great poster of himself and Mig to get it signed. Wish I had a picture of him. He was wreathed in smiles. Home again to Columbus. We really had good times together at Italian Village-thanks to our wonderful waiter Tomaso, Third Coast Cafe, Frontera Fresco in Macy's, Miller's Pub, Beef and Brandy, Starbucks lol. Thanks too to Krystal-it was nice to meet you MiG is so amazing in Rock of Ages, I hope all of you get a chance to see for yourselves.

Thanks, MB, for your excellent rundown of the events! You did such a great job of summarizing the trip. I enjoyed reading your recap, and your pictures are terrific. You and Toni look gorgeous, and Darrell looks quite debonair! It was certainly great to see Gina and Harmony again. The pictures of them are really cute. There's another picture of them at the stage door, but I have to check whether it's ok with them to post it first. As MB said, we were all goofing around taking some normal and some wacky pictures while we waited for MiG after the last show. Here is one of the pics.... Toni takes a dumpster dive in her theater duds! LOL Harmony was so sweet to take this picture. I was waving my arm around right before the photo was taken so had to get ready quickly. It looks like I'm punching MiG - ha!
