I gotta have chopped tomatoes in my guac. and I like a little onion, too. Hey, I betcha lime, instead of lemon, would be good! Hey Toni, that's exactly how my brother-in-law makes it and it's delicious.

Argh, now I must buy some avocados! I need some guac, lol. I absolutely love avocados...I had a grand uncle and a grandfather that both grew them! The good california ones, not the big bland ones from Florida!!! I used to just eat a couple for a snack!!!!!! And I can't tell you how many little avocado seeds we sprouted in the window sill, lol.

Jason Mraz owns an Avacado Farm in California!! I just made salsa and I'm starting on the Guac shortly. We're having steak quesadillas tonight with yellow squash, pablano peppers and onions (for Cengiz...I'm allergic), along with fresh guac/salsa and some corn on the side!! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! #drool# #drool# #drool#

I made the salsa and quac yesterday and it was far better than my guac, Nancy. I did add onions and tomatoes. I usually put in cilantro too which is what screws it up I think.

How did you like the Salsa, Sandy? Cilantro is tricky. It's hard to get the amounts just right. You can add more to salsa than you can to other things without it overpowering the dish.

Loved it - fresh is always better but I'm usually too lazy!

I like cilantro in salsa, but I don't think it would work in guac.

I am not a big fan of the cilantro taste even in salsa or on tacos but I love rosemary on chicken. I think rosemary and cilantro taste a bit similar, don't you?

My current favorite herb is tarragon. I use it on almost everything with egg, chicken, or veggies in it! I have 3 pots of it growing on my porch, plus one pot with purple basil. I have spoiled myself with fresh herbs.

Hey it's almost Holiday time. anyone have any new recipes that are not to miss for upcoming parties or family dinners?
I have one someone at work brought in. Everyone loved it and it is easy. A new coworker shared it-I think we'll keep her
Pretzel/cracker dip combine 1 1/2 pkg cream cheese 1/2 cup shredded sharp chedder cheese 1/2 jar hot pepper jelly 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes mix chill serve Great with pretzels. It isn't as spicy as you think they pepper jelly gives it kind of a sweet spicy taste. Let me know if you try it how you like it
