Joyce, thanks for posting those! Paul McCartney was awesome on that halftime show. Hey Jude is one my favorite Beatles songs.
Congrats to all those Colts fans! And sorry to those of you who were rooting for the Bears - they did have a great season as Nancy said. And they were in the game all the way. Too bad the teams had to play in a downpour all night - no wonder there were so many turnovers. The coaches are both very classy guys. Kay

Tony Dungy (sp?) really is a class act, isn't he? Congrats to the Colts fans! Poor Rex Grossman is too inconsistant to be a contender in this league I'm afraid. I actually feel pretty badly for him, there's so much finger pointing at him today.

Congrats to the COLTS!!!! Yes Coach Dungy is a class act!!! Rex just can't play with the big boys it seems! I feel so sorry for him! I hate that people are pointing fingers because it takes EVERYONE to be a team and yes he is inconsistent BUT there were a lot of missed things that a few others could have taken care of too!! Oh well, another year of football gone!! Congrats again to the COLTS!!!

YAY Colts!! I'm happy for them! and the Bears did have an AWESOME season... it was a good game! what awful weather they had to play in tho #ditto# Yay for the Colts, and especially for Peyton!! He must be so relieved to finally get that ring. What did everyone think of Prince at the halftime show? I thought it was a bit disappointing, but maybe the weather affected his performance. My favorite Super Bowl halftime performance in recent years was Paul McCartney, two years ago. He was amazing! Hey, I just found it on YouTube... Part 1 (Drive My Car, Get Back, Live and Let Die ): www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz38asyJkcUPart 2 (Hey Jude): www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojkHjVnlnIgI thought Prince was pretty good, you know they have to be very sure to not do another "Janet Jackson" ! Nothing controversial. But I was surprised that he did COVERS? He did them fine but Prince certainly has enough hits of his own to not do covers. That was a bit disappointing to me. I loved the set with the lighted symbol, but the dancers could have had better outfits, and Prince could have had better looking headwear. As if I could have produced anything a fraction as good, hahahaha! e2a*fixed typos*

Oh well, another year of football gone!! Congrats again to the COLTS!!! I feel kind of bad for Rex. Today on the radio they said he had the worst performance of any quarterback ever in all the Superbowls. I hate when people label that. The Colts were superior to be sure last night but who knows how the game would have gone on a different evening, different weather. He must have played well enough during the season to get them to the superbowl and only one other team holds htat bragging right. It is kind of like the Bucks in the National Championship Game. I scarcely recognized that team. They totally self destructed and embarassed themselves while Florida played near flawless. That was not the team i had watched all season and I think that on another night the outcome might have been completely different. I agree with Cammy, it isn't fair to point a finger at one. The classy teams win together and lose together. zIt is a shame they lost the game in teh manner they did. Chicago should be proud of them for making it to the Super Bowl. congrats to the Colts and Colts fans. What a thrill!! Their home field is under cover so to play like that under those conditions showed a lot of versatility on their part.

Part 1 (Drive My Car, Get Back, Live and Let Die ): www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz38asyJkcUPart 2 (Hey Jude): www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojkHjVnlnIg I LOVED the McCartney halftime a couple years ago. As you said, he was awesome. The other one I enjoyed was the one U2 did (I don't remember what year). And I have to agree about Tony Dungee being a great guy. He's been coaching in the NFL a long time and has a lot of respect from his team players as well as players from other teams and other coaches. As for Rex, well, if ya wann run with the big dogs ya gotta expect to get nipped. If he can come back strong next year things could be different. After all, he's just a rookie, isn't he or second year? Now, for Prince, I thought he did well consisdering the weather and I thought it was appropriate that he sang Purple Rain as the finale. He did a very good job with the little bit he sang of All Along the Watchtower as well. Now I wish I had watched the special they had on VH1 Saturday night so I could have seen John Legend. I forgot about it til about 2 a.m. Sunday so I missed it. Wanda

I feel very badly for Rex Grossman. Everyone's comments about this being a TEAM is true. They should win and lose as a team. He is still inexperienced, which often means being inconsistent. He was put in that position by the coaches over the other experienced quarterbacks, so they must see a lot of good things in him. There were plenty of plays that other team members didn't make, plus there were great plays by the Colts. It's tough enough to make big plays under all that pressure without terrible weather conditions, and he had to take more risks because they were behind. People are forgetting what a great season the Bears had.
