The 2008 Aussie Open!!!
WOW!!
Anyone watching these matches besides moi? ;D
Nearly pulled an all nighter last night watching Federer and this darling young Serb named Janko Tipsarevic. Four and a half hours!! Five sets!! It could have gone either way, but Federer pulls it out 10-8 in the 5th set!! What a match!!
If you're hibernating today, they're re-broadcasting it on ESPN 2 right now. Do yourself a favor and watch some of this match. It's amazing!!!
Before that match we got to see American, James Blake win a tight four-setter. What a night of tennis!!!

What a final!! Like a nut, I'm staying up all night long to watch it live!! And guess who I just saw watching the match? STING!!! Seal goes to Wimbledon and the US Open, Tony Bennett goes to the Open every year too, but this is the first time I've seen Sting at a match. Joyce, are you still awake watching too?

Joyce, are you still awake watching too? Yup, I stayed up to see the end of it. I missed Sting though! Was Trudie with him? And I was pushing for the other guy to win...

Haven't had any time to watch Wimbledon this year. But I was very happy to see on the news that Venus won and now Nadal, too.
Am usually glued to the set watching both Wimbledon and the US Open.
A lot of upsets this year, but that makes it interesting.

Great match!!! I wanted Federer to win so he'd have a new record and I wanted Nadal to win cuz it would be his first win and he was playing so well! This match reminded me of Borg vs. MacInroe (sp?). OH the good OLD days! I haven't watched too much tennis lately since Sampras and Agassi stopped playing, even though I've enjoyed watching Federer. But now, we just might have another great rivalry in the making!!!! ;D And they're both pretty cute! Hope they both go to the US Open!

OMG...what a match!!!
#thcongratulations# RAFA!!!
Absolutely brilliant tennis!! That match goes down in history!!
#schol# #thWahoooo# #schol#
Carolynn, I was having a hard time with this one too. I wanted to see Rafa win his first Wimbledon, but not at the expense of Federer, who I wanted to see win 6 in a row and surpass Borg's record. They're both impressive champions and I sure hope we have a new found rivalry like the Sampras /Agassi rivalry of the good old days. ;D
Dale, don't forget...we have the Olympics right before the US Open this year...so it's going to be an even better summer of tennis than usual!!! ;D
TENNIS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot about tennis being a part of the Olympics. Are the big names planning to be there, Nancy?

Hi Joyce, I'm not sure about the other countries, but I believe the Williams sisters and Lindsay Davenport are playing for the US and I think Rodd*ck, Blake and Bryan brothers are too. I'll have to double check that. It sure would make for better matches if the top players represent their countries.
