Hi Deanna!!! thanks so much for the tutorial! I DID IT! LOOKIE LOOK! ;D ahhhh...those eyes!!! #105# #105##105##105##105##105# Got this from Ep. 6 MIG Video Diary of a Record love, edel Great job on your screencap, Edel! #clap# Karma to you. I watched the video -- MiG looks so sleepy. I had to bring your pic over to the next page so others don't miss it! #thanx# Deanna, Rose, Emily and Edel! That's basically how I do them too, but I maximize the video first (click the button at lower right of video). That may not matter though. I paste my screens into Word (so I can do a batch), then I use a graphics program called Fireworks to crop, resize, colorize (if needed), etc. Amy, thanks for the YouTube info! Oh no, I need to create yet another profile??? #pullhair# When will it end? Keeping up with the boards, MySpace, and YouTube is becoming a full-time job! But it is fun... ;D

Have you ever used the Calculator? Notepad? If you use MS Windows, you have "Paint". (It is possible, especially if you are using a work PC, that the Paint was not installed, but it's rare for that to happen.) So, let's see... Here's how to check: 1. Click on the "start" buttom on the bottom left of your screen. 2. Click on "All Programs" 3. Scan the list, looking for the word, "Accessories". It should be one of the first possibilities. 4. Click on "Acessories" and a new list of possibilties should open to the right of it. 5. Scan about half way down. You should see in the list: - Calculator - Notepad - Paint 6. Click on "Paint". Let me know. Deanna

So I went to search and put paint under the files and didn't find it either. The notepad is there. under accessories.

So I went to search and put paint under the files and didn't find it either. The notepad is there. under accessories. I use Windows XP Professional, too. I found several websites that detail how to add these programs on to your PC, but let's see if I can summarize the steps here. To add Paint, Calculator, and other Windows accessories, do the following: 1. Click on the "start" buttom on the bottom left of your screen. 2. Click on "Control Panel". It should appear in the right hand column, in a separate section, probably above "Printers and Faxes". 3. Click on "Add or Remove Programs" 4. A new window will pop up. Look at the left hand column. You should see: Add/Remove Windows Components 5. Click on it. 6. It will take a few moments and then a small box will appear with the title, "Windows XP Setup". 7. You should see a list of "Components", and "Accessories and Utilities" should be near the top, if not the first entry. 8. Make sure "Accessories and Utilities" is highlighted, and click on the "Details" button, in the bottom right. 9. A new window will open, entitled, "Accessories and Utilities". "Accessories" should be highlighted. Click on the "Details" button, in the bottom right. 10. You should now see all the subcomponents of "Accessories", including "Calculator" and "Paint". Make sure you put a check in those two, if not all of them. 11. Click on "OK" and you will return to the "Accessories and Utilities" window. 12. Click on "OK" and you will return to the "Windows Components Wizard" window. 13. Click on the "Next" button. 14. You may be prompted to insert your Windows XP CD, so that it can install the files on to your PC. Let me know if this helps. Here's the URL for more info about why you were missing the components, and another explanation of installing them. www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/article.asp?article=articles/2000/s1104/06s04/06s04.aspDeanna

Hi Deanna, I think it is going to be impossible. We had a computer problem and I had a tech guy come over. I couldn't fix it myself #comp26# because I haven't been able to locate my Windows XP disk. He used his to fix the problem and he deleted a bunch of "spyware stuff and since his visit we haven't had add or delete programs or the calculator. I didn't realize paint was gone until now. I didn't want to pay for another visit to add those things soI thought I would have them added back next time and luckily so far the computer is working ok(except for not being able to use the missing programs)
Thanks and karma for trying to help me. I was able to get a screencap to o to word but didn't know what to do with it after that point. I don't think I have any graphic programs. #bearhug#
