Toni - you're quite talented! The 'kids' are so cute. My girls are going to be cheerleaders and they are dressing up the puppy to match. We don't have the details worked out yet-I'm not a seamstress. But I'm not bad with the glue gun and iron-on seam stuff.

hahaha, what makes you think I didn't glue up most of those costumes!!!! Actually, they are based on a doggie coat pattern. Glue and felt are a costumers best friend!!!

No more sewing until next year! Though after staying up all night (literally, I finished at 6:15 am ) I told my kids that next year they were dressing up as residents of a nudist colony. ;D Obi-Wan Amidala

Those star wars costumes are fantastic. Helps that the kids are adorable! I made these costumes for my "kids"last year! All ready for Wicked! Isn't she looking all thrilled about wearing this nifty Indian costume! Toni- Your furbabies look like my Nigeldog. How did you ever get them to keep the headgear on? Nigel absolutely refuses to wear ANYTHING on his head. He does, however, have a t-shirt that says "I'm Mama's dog" and a yellow and red Hawaiian print shirt... oh, and I almost forgot his read hoodie sweatshirt from last year. He also has a bandana that says "Spoiled Rotten Old Navy Dog" on it. Love the pictures. Wanda

Jen, those costumes are fantastic! Not to mention the cute kids wearing them, lol. Wanda, the dogs are pretty obedient. When we tell them to stay they do! As for the headgear, they don't keep it on for long, but long enough for a good pic. DH stands off camera and keeps the dogs attention until I get off a couple shots. And I do try to make the headgear attached well enough that it can't be easily dislodged by the dog. I think next year I may try my hand at making those fancy neck collars so the dogs will be more comfortable.

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty proud of both the kids and the costumes. They had a blast yesterday and we now have enough candy in the house to last until next year or to just make us all sick #428181#
Toni- I love your doggie costumes, very cute! I never had a dog that would wear clothes, but I did have a cat that we could dress up and push around in a baby carriage ;D

Jen, your kids are adorable. I love those outfits!! My Dad sent this to me today, and I thought it was cute. Now, we just need someone to Photoshop Powder into this! ____________ Subject: Really Cool DogTYPE IN a command and see what happens... sit, roll over, jump, down, stand, speak, dance, shake, fetch, play dead, etc. and...it's also very cute if you type in a command that's not recognized...!! Make sure you type in "kiss" too. But do it last. www.idodogtricks.com/index_flash.html

Not sure which thread to post these pics, so I'll just pick this one. I took some photos while in New York, of the firestation that lost several men and an engine on 9/11. The Station 55 in Little Italy The display showing the only scrap found of the engine 55. The photo in the frame is of the engine right before the bldg collapsed onto it. Joe and Mary Beth. He was quite the character!

It's so cool to come back from being out of town for a few days, and to have so many posts and news bits and pics to catch up on, that there isn't enough time left to respond to all of them! GO MIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
