Does anyone have the code for a small button for MiG's myspace that I can put in my email siggy? Laura's team mig one is the perfect size. Also, is there anyway for the code to link the buttons to the sites? Has this all been discussed and I missed it?

Urm, ok well I copied the whole code and it came up with the button and the line of code, neither of which were links. So, am I supposed to do something special with the code to make a siggy in aol mail?

Ok... first, go back to page one where this banner is located, then right click and "save as"... then, on your AOL screen, select mail signatures... when you get the signature box, right click and do insert picture... then find where you saved it... insert the pic... if you want to hyperlink it to the website... click the picture, then right click and select "insert hyperlink"... then just put in the website address! Hope that helps!! xoxoxoxo

lol Jane. Anyway, I have such an odd computer. I can get the button logo fine, animation and all, but cannot get it to be a link. I had to just type in the addy underneath, and it doesnt seem to link either. Right clicking doesn't bring up the choices I want. I will have to play with it later, gotta think about getting ready for work.
* ok, got the typed in link to work, but will still try to see if I can get the button itself to be a link.

I started a new thread sense we are gonna make more buttons and stuff that can be used on anything not just My Space.... This is the link to use this AWESOME icon/banner that Laura made... It's my personal favorite!!! <a href="http://www.teammigayesa.com"><img src="http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b18/amyedie6196/flashsmall.gif"></a>
There are also several other banners on our "links" page. And we'll be adding more buttons and banners here soon! Ames xoxoxo Is there any way to size the few big pics down for those who are using them? They are way too big (and wide) for comment boxes......the one I received on my page today is causing my comment area to expand way oversized and making my screen now have to be scrolled as the page no longer fits on the screen. If people are using them in comment boxes they may want to re-size them first.......or just have them re-sized on here for them to save them at a smaller size. I am not sure if the pixelation will be affected if we try to re-size them ourselves.....probably not as they would be sized smaller....but I am not sure and would hate to have them distort from messin' with the size! May be easier to re-size them here to be saved at a smaller size! Just a suggestion as I am having to delete the one I received until it is sized smaller......not cuz I want to...but cuz scrollin' my screen across drives me nutz! I am hoping to get it resent at a smaller size.......as it looks great!! Is there a standard size they should be at to work well in comment areas?? What size should folks be makin' them at if they make their own?? Is the sizing able to be worked with in a Photobucket account?? I have not used mine yet........just signed up for it a few weeks ago......so not sure if re-sizing can be done in it or not!

Dawn, there is a code at myspacesupport.com that will automatically size down all of your comments. I have it, hang on I'll go get *if I can remember where I put it* got it! <div style="position:absolute;left:0px;top:0px;width:88px;height:31px;"><a href="http://www.myspacesupport.com/"><img src="http://www.myspacesupport.com/images/button.gif" border="0" alt="MySpace Layouts" /></div><style type="text/css"> td.text td.text table table table td a img {width:100px;} td.text td.text table table table td div img {width:80px;} td.text td.text table table td img {width:260px; max-width:260px; width:auto;} td.text td.text table table td div img {width:80px;} * html td.text td.text table table td img {width:260px;} * html td.text td.text table table td a img {width:90px;} * html td.text td.text table table td div img {width:80px;} </style>

The problem is this.....I only have default settings on.....no background layout at all. That is why mine won't resize the comments.
I was just wondering if the sizing could be made on them here so people saved and sent them at the right size for those of us who don't have all that coding on our spaces.....I believe most of the pre-made layouts have the resizing coded in automatically.......so for some it isn't a problem at all. Mainly for folks w/ default backgrounds and custom made ones (and the lazy ones who don't want to mess with all the coding!).
I just deleted mine and everything went back to the right formatting......they are workin' on sending me a smaller version!!
Thanks for the help!!
ETA: Maybe it is just a problem on my site so we can forget it. I will just figure out what size works best on ones I send out before I get around to sendin' them! I just didn't want people I was sending them to, at the larger size, to delete them like I had to or needed to. That was my concern .... not everyone has that coding and depending what resolutions you run your monitor on ..... the pages set up differently.......I run on a higher resolution w/ a top-end video card for gaming purposes...so I know that anyone at a lower resolution will have it affect their spaces sites even more (size wise). I will look in help areas for good sizes to shrink them down to.....I was just thinkin' about those who may not have means to do it (I have PhotoShop so I can do it there w/ limited pixel changes....I hope!) and I wasn't sure if people who only have Photobucket accounts could do it on that site....that is why I asked.
Thanks again for the ideas to fix it.....I may put that coding in if I ever get around to making the background stuff on the site and/or come up with a nice layout format!

Dawn, I had the same problem and had to delete a couple of comments that were very wide (from large graphics). I tried the code that Rhonda provided above, but it makes some smileys (in the comments area) huge, while really shrinking down the other graphics. Wish I knew enough about HTML to edit that code so it works better. I think if the graphics are no more than 3" wide, that should work for most comment areas, regardless of the layout. Ames, let me know if you need help resizing them. I can do that pretty easily in a program I have called Fireworks! Joyce
