It's always nice to be able to have a little chat with the singer. Can I brag here that I got to not only chat with Ty from Rockstar, but also feel his frohawk spikes and get a good by kiss!!!

I'm not promising anything but I will try my best to go to Trinoma and Glorietta. Hopefully it won't rain. Can somebody please tell me what time his gig at Glorietta? The press here hasn't announced his coming here as of this time. Btw, David Cook will have a concert here on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009. Sorry, i'm not a fan of his. I'm also a dummy with hi-tech gadgets....but will try my best to get a video or at least a picture of Michael Johns.

Whenever an artist would have a promotional tour or concert tour, Manila would more often than not be included in their itinerary. Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Beyounce Knowles and a number of other artists whom I can't remember anymore, have been here already. Rhiana and Chris Brown is scheduled to perform this November. Christopher Cross who has been here a number of times is set to perform in December if i'm not mistaken (I think he's here every 2 years but i've never heard an interview from him). Bob Hope, Madonna use to perform for the americans when the US bases were still here. Needless to say, you americans will never get bored here, haha!

I think Manilla really does support a lot of music! Music seems to be very important to pinoys.

Cool article. How great that he helped raise $7 million/I love it when people help give back or pay forward. Thanks for posting the article eye~ What was your impression of the concert? He was ok but for me he sounded better on that youtube clip you posted. I didn't like the sound system; it was as if his voice was "drowned" by the band. Plus the fact that he was "eating" some of the lyrics. Maybe because I am not familiar with the australian accent. I really had to pay attention to every word he said for me to be able to understand what he was singing/saying. I would just like to mention that the crowd at the trinoma was not restrained by the security guards from reacting/participating when he was performing; in fact there were only a few for crowd control. It's just that Michael sang songs that were not that popular here or to a certain extent, forgotten. But when he sang "We are the Champions" the audience were singing and waving their hands with him. Sadly, he didn't sing Bohemian Rhapsody. Btw, I saw his wife (Stacy I think). She's just about as tall as Michael.

Thanks for posting your thoughts. The acoustics in a mal would be difficult to be sure. I do see sometimes where the and sometimes overwhelms the vocalist and that is a shame because they should excel in supporting the singer. The house band got it roit. MIchael doesn't really have all that much of an Australian accent any more to my ears but he does stylize some of the words when he is singing. I just love him. I think he is an amazing artist. At glorietta he sang part of Bo Rhap and the crowd sang along wish he would have sung the rest The music sounds pretty good at glorietta listen to this clip of wonderwall
and the crowd seems to be getting into his cover of Come Together
