Now that I am home from work, and playing online, I have the song playing in the background. I really do love it! It's harder/edgier than some of his stuff, and I think it's very radio-worthy...catchy, good hook, and enough change ups so it's not boring. And not a bunch of multi-track voices, mostly just one MiG. (my main complaint with Crush by DA, way too multi-tracked). Did I mention how much I like this song? yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah

It really is quite different than anything I have heard him do before. Quite surprising new sound-it doesn't grab me the first time like she loved to be honest. I think I need to listen a bit more before decidng what I think. I wasn't blown away at first by David Cook's Light on song but now I really love it so this one by MiG may well be the same

I do think the second half of the song shines, that happens to a lot of songs, they build! I love that it has such a current feel to it while still being very MiGgy. Another song of angst!

And it's also on MiG's My Space player as well. He hasn't posted the lyrics yet so I'll try to get to them this weekend and get em posted in the proper thread.

from the MySpace player
TO WHOM IT MUST CONCERN (Written by MiG Ayesa, Simon Pinto & Josh Abrahams)
I remember a life I knew But now I don't have a single clue Once we were heading towards the light But now we're caught in this desperate fight.
I've seen babies burn in fires of hell, I've heard children scream from their prison cell, I've felt bullets pierce through my armoured shell. How did we get here, and where did we go wrong?
There was a dream we all once shared, But now I've never been so scared. It felt like God was on our side, Now I just wanna get off this ride.
I've seen angels' faces blown apart, I've seen devils laugh at our broken hearts, Can you tell me when did this nightmare start? How did we get here, and where did we go wrong?
But how've you been? What you been doin? Has the cable guy come through? A little longer, I'll be there Keep strong as the nights keep rolling I'll be coming home.
Every day is another year. Will I ever get out of here? I don't believe in anything we do. There's nothing different between me and you.
Dreams are broken, hearts have been torn to shreds, I am numb from my toes up to my head, I have lost my mind and my soul is dead. How did we get here, and where did we go wrong?
But how've you been? How you been doin? Has the roof stopped caving in? Not much longer, I'll be there Keep strong as the nights keep rolling I'll be coming home.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I never thought I would die this way. I would rather die than be forced to stay. Will you hear my cry as I fade to grey? How did we get here, and where did we go wrong?
But how've you been? How you been doin? Did the doctor say you're fine? A little longer, I'll be there Keep strong as the nights keep rolling, I hear your calling, I'll be coming I am coming home. I am coming home...

Deep lyrics. I can see it referring to the angst in different ways.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_G._AbrahamsJosh G. Abrahams is a musician who emerged from the Australian underground dance-music scene in the early 1990s. He has worked as a writer, performer, music director and producer on albums and film soundtracks, and in television and theatre. Abrahams has had a highly successful career in the music industry, beginning in 1991 when he formed Future Sound Of Melbourne with drum and bass producer David Carbone and acid house DJ Steve Robbins. They released several 12" singles on the Shock Records imprint, Candyline Records. FSOM released tracks on Belgium’s premier underground dance-music label, Two Thumbs Records, the Thomas Heckmann remix of their track Welcome featured on the inaugural IF? Records compilation Zeitgeist (released internationally through Nova Zembla), and they eventually won the Australian Recording Industry Award (ARIA) for Best Dance Release in 1996. In the same year, Abrahams was signed as a solo artist to Carl Cox’s label, Worldwide Ultimatum, releasing his techno album The Satyricon to wide critical acclaim. The album did not sell well, although one of the tracks on it, "The Joker", appeared on the soundtrack to the film Hackers. In 1997 Abrahams signed to Festival Records in Australia. Around this time, film director Baz Lurhmann became interested in Abrahams' work and asked him to co-produce some tracks for his album Something For Everybody, one of which became the 1998 UK #1 single, "Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)". Abrahams' own solo chart success also continued with the 1999 Australian platinum selling single "Addicted To Bass" and the album Sweet Distorted Holiday. Abrahams set the record for number of ARIA nominations for an artist on an independent label that year, getting six nods, for record of the year, best male artist, best independent release, best dance artist album, best video, and best engineer. He ended up winning two ARIAs, for Best Dance Album and Best Independent Release. In 2001, Abrahams added to his producer credits by producing the platinum selling single "Lovesong" and the gold selling album Audio Out for Australian singer Amiel. Abrahams continued his creative collaboration with Baz Lurhmann in 2001 when he co-produced the hugely successful Moulin Rouge film soundtrack. In 2002, Abrahams composed and produced original music for a feature film by Paul Currie called One Perfect Day, set in the Melbourne dance music scene. Also in this year, Abrahams remixed songs for John Farnham and Icehouse. In 2003, Abrahams wrote and produced the original music score for the movie One Last Ride, produced by Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee. Abrahams also has a career in theatre. He was the music director and pianist in The Soubrettes Cabaret Tingel Tangel at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2004. He began composing music for television commercials, such as the 'Go For It Girl’ campaign for Portmans clothing and the LG technology campaign. In 2005, TV jingles were Abrahams' main focus, along with writing more of his own original music. Most recently Abrahams has turned his attention to the post modern art of “mash-up”, running the vocals of one well-known song over the bass line of another, creating a mega-mix covering the history of recorded music. He spent July and August 2006 running the night-club in the first Spiegeltent to tour in the USA, where audiences from across the country danced to his mashed-up beats. In 2008, Josh has teamed up with Robyn Loau for the new single "Hard His version of "Come What May remix didn't make it into the onscreen movie of Moulin Rouge but is in the DVD package. Thanks, Toni, I did check my PMs... before I came here, LOL. I guess I was just on myspace and checking for the lyrics before Mig put them up there cos when I checked them it said that there were no lyrics posted for the song. It's a beautiful song and yes, very deep. From the looks of the pictures I'm wondering if MiG wasn't doing some recording while he was in the UK for nearly the month of August...it sure looks like that's a possibility and BRIAN MAY working with him... a dream come true for MiG. And, MB, the song, Come What May from Moulin Rouge is one of my all-time favorite songs. I've seen the video before since I own the DVD of the movie and I LOVE Ewan MacGregor's voice. In fact, I have, I think, every movie but two that he sang in and I've seen one of those two...I'm so jealous of the people that got to see him onstage in London's West End when he did Guys and Dolls a few years ago. He's someone I'd like to see on Broadway and it wouldn't hurt for MiG and Simmy to be on stage with him....Hmmm anyone know a playwright that could put that one together?
Thanks for finding all the stuff, ladies.
Oh, and I notice that there's a Darrryl Beation link with this too, since Robyn Loau is Mrs. Beaton, LOL...MiG's in some high company right now. Thanks again.
