I am extremely bored. I am pretty much pissed. And then I got very, very, very sleepy. I went, I saw, I borrowed here and there from some of you, anyway. This has got to be the laziest and sloppiest piece of work I've ever done but oh well... I was expecting the CD sleeve to look something remotely like this, since the promotion photo came out with similar colour tones... That's COOL, Cat! It shows the warm approachable MiG - which he is! And the smoldering sexy MiG - need I say more? And I am so in agreement that the cover should match the quality of the CD inside. This CD is being sold to people who have never heard of MiG, not only his devoted fans, the cover needs to be colorful and/or draw people to it. Yes, management and MiG's recording company should listen to his fans.... BEFORE marketing the CD! Who knows why they changed the colourful cover from the CD sampler and covered it up with fingerpainting? The colour is the least saleable colour of all. At least on my screen it is a pale bilious green. Maybe it looks different in person. Wish I could post Jane's first rendition of MiG reaching up next to the fountain here for comparison with the one Carol posted. Artistically and visually the one where MiG is seen to the right of the fountain is in better balance and more clearly defines MiG, even though he was apparently in front of the fountain when the pic was taken. I can see this one on perhaps his second CD cover as reaching higher for the stars. A reminder of Sylvester Stallone's run to the top of the stairs in 'Rocky"! And hopefully that CD will be filled with MiG's originals! Truly I think MiG's team should listen to all of the input from MiG's fans who know him best. They have put so much into the recording already, they should put their best into the packaging too! imho

Dale, here is Carol's picture This is Jane's first improvement, This is my fountain shot and this is Jane's improvement to my shot. Carol and I were standing fairly close when we got our pictures so I guess our perspectives were just a bit different and I copied a picture of the fountain from the internet and our Photo master Jane did the rest Ijust noticed that the pic I copied the angle of the fountin is wrong and so that is why he is standing on a different corner in Jne's photos. I can't believe how well she can change a pictrure to make it look like that! Thank's again Jane.

Cat, I love the changes you made. Personally, I don't like the green cover all that well either but I thought that MiG had some say in it. After he has waited so long to be able to put out a CD, I hope the cover is all he envisioned. It puts a visible face to his dream. I wonderd if the cover is to increase appeal ro younger demographics. I think the 30-60 year olds could probably identify more with a cover like Car suggests-his pewsonality shows through. With the other one, maybe the color green and the look he has is to subliminally suggests that"he is cool" to those who don't know him. I am sure there is probably a reason they did the cover like they did but wiht all the samplers we have given away, I would think that for recognition the cover of the CD might have been the same unless they were worried people would think it was more samplers,

Thank you MB those photo comparison's are great!
I like all the shots. In the second one, it seems like MiG is almost touching the US flag, too! Visually it seem easier to look diagonally upward from MiG to the top of the statue. And when I said he is more distinct, it is only because his outline is not as clear in front of the statue. I do like seeing him in front of the water though. What is the name of the statue?

I have thought about this one for awhile! I have to agree with some of you that the cover is not what I personally would have chosen for him BUT if he likes it than I will. I would buy if it came in a clear case with NOTHING on it!! I would have LOVED this one.... (Sophia's signature and on the MiG online team page) There is something vulnerable about it! Not sure I can describe it BUT I think it is an awesome pic!!!

It sounds like MiG is having the cover of his CD changed, Let's hope that the artwork he's working on, includes the cover!! Deanna Actually Deanna -- I don't know anything about the actual artwork but MiG told me last month that the 'mint' green cover is not and (apparently never was) supposed to be the cover of the CD when I told him that many of us don't like it. So he is aware (whew!!!) hugs gee
