I was just looking at the Avi for the Mignews myspace. That would be a perfect picture for a cd cover too.

I wasn't aware covers mattered so much... I mean, at least, to people who aren't yet fans. I don't know about others, but I personally would never take any interest in a CD because it's cover was pretty or otherwise attractive. Maybe I just shop differently than most people. But, I don't browse music sections. When I buy music, I go to the store with a mission: a CD I've been eyeing with music I've been exploring (or with music from an artist I already adore) and know I will love. I don't stop to check out other random people. Maybe that's just me, though. Hmmm.... marketing can be really interesting... Anyway. I wouldn't say I don't like the green cover; it's pretty, but I don't know if it's really right for MiG. At any rate, I do think it could be better and I can't wait to see the real one! ;D The CD cover by Galadhrian is awesome!

I was thinking about new fans. When I was very young, I remember stopping in my tracks when I spotted Cheap Trick's Dream Police album in the store. I had never heard their music but the cover caught my attention and I got my first rockstar crush on the lead singer, Robin Zander. I was mesmerized by the album cover......but after buying the album and listening to it...I became a huge fan and bought all their past albums and most of their future ones also. Just my experience anyway. ;D

Hi Guys,
We wanted to pass along that the official CD cover is not, absolutely not going to be the green one. The official one is being finalized now. More details to come....
Thanks!!! #smilieface#

I hate buying CDs and only really liking one or two songs, you know? So, naturally, I'm not falling for a cover. That's neat, though. And, now, you've got me curious what that cover looked like... it must've been pretty nice! I'll have to look that up... (The nice thing about artists like MiG is that you don't have to worry -- I'd buy ANYTHING he did! ;D #105# #heart_smiley# ) Nancy -- thanks for keeping us updated!

Oh, yes, the cover is quite important! Marketing is quite a science these days. The cover needs to catch your eye, give you a feeling of what is inside, appeal to you enough to want to pick it up and check it out. Lots of things go into the decision besides what picture to use. Color, placement, graphics and font, all sorts of stuff. It seems so shallow , but aside from the fans who will be looking for the cd, there are the casual fans who they want to find the cd by accident, and the buyers who aren't yet fans but decide to buy because it looks intriguing and interesting. A cover done correctly can actually help a bit with sales, and every little bit helps.

That's cool Emily. I guess the cover is important. I've always just bought music because I liked the artist. Of course a nice cover is always a plus, but if you're into the music it doesn't really matter. I can see a great cover making for more sales though.
I'm glad MiG's cover isn't going to be that green one. I really wasn't to happy about that. They can do so much better.

heehee.....here is one of the cover pics that changed my life....j/k #105# Is that Cheap Trick? I had a chance to meet them when I was in high school -- they were doing a meet and greet at a mall where I worked, but the timing didn't work out. I did get to see them as I walked by there though! I share the same last name with one of them, but no relation. Ha ha...

I'm sure I knew the names of the other two at one time but they slip my mind at this time. Dilana, by the way, did a really good job on Cheap Trick's I Want You To Want Me. I can just hear Toby doing Dream Police though. Wanda
