Yes, Eye, Michael Crichton was the author of Jurrasic Park as well as The Andomeda Strain (my personal fave of his books). He also was with ER from the beginning along with John Wells. They are the ones who conceived the idea for ER. I actually guess we should refer to him as Dr. Crichton since, like Robin Cook, he was a medical doctor before he became involved in writing and later television series.
I wish I had seen Eriq La Salle at the beginning. I LOVED Peter Benton on there. He was so cool. One of my fave shows was a Halloween show when Elizabeth first joined the crew at the hospital and was trying to get into a relationship with Peter. Anyway, Peter was going to the Halloween party as Shaft and he and Elizabeth were doing their version of the theme from Shaft. Of course, my favorite character I've seen him do was the one he played in Coming To America with all that JeriCurl and that super big hair...He's a very handsome man.

In the scenes he's in surgery so he didn't die in the ER. I sure hopes he makes it, but I think Sam and Tony are done for. She'll never forgive him.

I think she may rethink a lot of things depending on how it goes with Alex. The police kinda let her know that he did a really good job of keeping anyone outside the car from being injured. The fact that he was intelligent enough and cared enough not to let his friend drive drunk should make Sam proud that she's done a good job raising him despite all the uproar in his life. And Tony truly did try to reach her before he made a parental judgment to let them go to the party. As for bleeding out immediately it think it would depend on whether the rupture was from the ascending or descending aorta. They got to it and clamped it off very quickly but there was a lot of blood loss. I don't know if he'll live or not. I hope he does cos guilt over the shouldas and what ifs would be bad for Tony, Sam and Sarah all. I may not have liked Alex when he was a kid but he seemed to have become a smarter teenager after he and Sam were kidnapped by his dad a few seasons ago. He finally saw his dad for what he was, a really bad person and that his mom was only trying to protect him. His whole attitude changed after that.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I doubt that most er docs would have the skill to do something like that quickly but I could be wrong. If he does survive that he would be lucky to heal with his type 1 diabetes complicating this. His blood sugars must be really out of control and I didn't see them even check them! I'm sad to report the last episode will air in march. I will miss the show. it's a favorite of mine.I have never liked Archie and even he is growing on me this season.

Julianna Margulies on Her 'ER' Reunion with George Clooney
They played a nurse and doc in love on "ER" -- now, Julianna Margulies opens up about reuniting with George Clooney for the final season of the show!
"It's been nine years and it was like we'd never been apart," Margulies told a source about filming scenes with Clooney, says People.com. The source adds that Margulies said her on-screen chemistry with Gorgeous George was "still there."
So, where are lovebirds Dr. Doug Ross (Clooney) and nurse Carol Hathaway (Margulies) today? The final season of "ER" will answer that question, says People.com.
Clooney departed the show in 1999, and Margulies left in 2000. The final episode of "ER" airs Thursday night, April 2.

ER is over #1381# #1381# #1381# #1381# #1381# I really loved that show and the hour before the finale it was great to see all the original characters talking about the origina nd early days. I teared up when they talked about shooting Mrk's death in Hawaii just like "Lizzy" did/. amazing 9 years have gone by and she still can't talk about it without getting emotional. Rachel turned out to be so pretty.. The finale show didn't feel like a finale. It felt just like any other episode really which I guess was to keep in the vein of characters(doctors, nurses, etc) come and go but the ER stays the same and carries on. Still it felt weird not resolving some of the issues. Does the new boss adopt a kid-I kind of thought so when that one person dropped off her baby a coupleweeks ago. What happened to Morris and his woman? Do Dr Gates and his honey get back together. John's wife was a weird addition to the show last night. It would have almost been better if she hadn't shown up. It didn't feel right. It is sad to lose a child and a part of you doesn't ever get over it but after 5 years life goes on and if she really loved him she could have been there to support him through his kidney problems and not been oh wah wah, Chicago makes me too sad, I can't be here. I do think the writing still stayed great and that the show could have gone on even a few mroe seasons. I will really misss it

I'm in mourning. I was crying like a baby during the retrospective. That finale went by so fast I couldn't believe it. I'm sort of hoping that they left it like it was just another day so that maybe they'll do a movie sometime in the future like Sex and the City did.
