It's SNOWING!!!!! Last time I checked I lived in Southern California, but we woke to a winter wonderland today My kids have never gotten out of bed and dressed so quickly. It is still coming down pretty hard. I'm glad I didn't get rid of my winter coat when I left Missouri because I'm wearing it now. I wonder how many kids I'll have at school today

#thinshok-1# I don't believe it. Wow!! Thanks for posting the pics, Jen. Is that the first time the kids have seen snow at home in LA? It's headed our way now. We're expecting the temps to fall, #thLL# the rain to turn to an ice event and then to snow over the late weekend. They're saying up to six inches. #thSnow# #thSnowGlomp# #thh-snowedin# I'm going to hybernate. #smilieflower#

Everyone here was pretty excited- kids and adults ;D My kids were already in school when it started coming down really hard (I was driving to work ) My son's teacher stopped teaching and let them run around in the snow. Later their principal was up on the roof throwing snowballs at them! I had kids at school without jackets and wearing shorts- their parents are idiots It is supposed to get down in the 20s tonight and we may have more snow during the night. It hasn't snowed here in 30 years and it didn't stick at all then. What happened to global warming?

It's over here by the Great Lakes. Although we are going to be cooling down next week. We "might" get some snow on Monday. I remember when I was a little kid, it snowed in L.A. late at night. My mom woke us up, wrapped me up in her coat and carried me outside so I could see it. The only other time I can remember is when I was a preteen. It hailed so much it looked like it had snowed.

Joyce, did you have snow yesterday? A news report said that someplace in AZ received 1/2 inch of snow - and closed the schools?!

Joyce, did you have snow yesterday? A news report said that someplace in AZ received 1/2 inch of snow - and closed the schools?! The whole city was blanketed with snow EXCEPT the corner where I live! There were several inches of snow in some spots, and about a foot in the mountains. They closed over 60 bridges due to ice, so it took some people 3 hours to get to work because they had to find another route. Some couldn't find a way there, and just went home! #thSnow# Here are some pics that readers sent in to our local (online) newspaper. #thwinterwondera1#

Wow Joyce, those pictures are almost surreal! It's too bad it caused such havoc. I don't hate snow too bad but ice is the pits. You are totally not able to control.

#omg# Joyce I can't believe it snowed like that. Those pictures are incredible. They actually look very pretty but I'm sure it was a shock to everyone. And it snowed except on your corner!!! Sounds like you have some magical powers!! Can you come to NY and make sure it doesn't snow where I live too? #th74a73472# Let's just start praying now for some good weather for February 23 - 26
