I can't believe it's been a year since this amazing weekend. And I can't believe how different things are a year later. And it breaks my heart that the differences are not for the better.
I vivdly remember the discussions we had with MiG when he was here and the plans we made with him. I remember how hard it was to say goodbye on Monday morning. We had coffee and bagels at our condo and then Cengiz drove MiG to the airport. I was too tired and too sad to go. I wanted to say my goodbyes here at home.
That weekend could not have been more perfect. We all have so much to be proud of.
No matter how much has changed in the past year...we always have the memories of that incredible weekend.
#schol# to Team MiG and The BiG MiG Chicago Weekend!!!

It is hard to believe that a year has passed and yet here we are...but not quite sure where here is at the moment. But it was a perfect weekend in every way. The people, the first meetings, all the music, the friends, the laughter, the alcohol. I think back on that weekend with fond memories and look at my pictures remembering when and why they were taken...all with such joy because it was a very joyful weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Only criticism I would have is that it was too short. But here's to you Nancy for putting together such a great weekend #schol# Here's hoping we have another one soon, and this one could be for whatever reason we want it to be...just because #hugz#

But here's to you Nancy for putting together such a great weekend #schol# Here's hoping we have another one soon, and this one could be for whatever reason we want it to be...just because #hugz# #ditto# #schol# to Nancy for a great weekend!! I can't believe it's been a whole year either! A few memories... Meeting lots of TM friends for the very first time on Friday at 3rd Coast and the anxiety I had when a certain someone walked in the door (since I hadn't met him yet). #LipQuiverSniff# The pic of See no evil...Hear no evil...Speak no evil... (Whose idea was that... Wanda's? What fun!) A couple of yummy and very potent PoMiGtinis (two was more than enough!). #10# And the group pic! How many versions of that pic do we have?? Shopping and sightseeing on a beautiful Chicago day and spending too much money on Frango mints! A group of us attempting to find a bus going the right direction to make it to Market Days on time... And then resorting to squeezing all six of us into a single cab (not counting the driver)! First ever glimpse of Marty and LH as they were standing near the stage at Market Days just before the show. And a bit later...the excitement of seeing M & M on stage together. Great food and entertainment at Carmine's, with a row of photogs/videographers at the piano. #takepic# The fun times we had at a very crowded Rockit Bar, including meeting Marty (we didn't know he would be there)! #thfaint-1# Another very hot (but fun!) day at Market Days on Sunday afternoon. The amazing energy in the room during the final show on Sunday at 3rd Coast, the singalong, and later saying goodbye to all. Sure hope we can do something like this again, no matter what the occasion!

That weekend was so awesome. Everything about it was so much fun! I did feel bad that MiG was kinda "overworked" by the end of it, but he is such a trooper that he didn't miss a beat! It was a lifetime ago, yet it's still like it just happened! I can only hope that there will be more fun gigs to come.

I don't even know what to say... The temps in Chicago this weekend have been perfect. As you recall, last year... um it was a bit HOT in more ways than one I have to ditto everything that Nancy, Cheryl, Joyce & Toni have said... I have so many wonderful memories of that fantastic weekend. So many! I made so many bonding friendships that I will treasure forever. To go down the list of names would take forever & then, I would probably accidentally forget one of the most important friendships. So, to save myself from that embarrassment... just know that everyone that I met last year during the Think BiG Think Mig Chicago Weekend holds a special place in my heart.... including the star of the attraction, MiG :-[Wow.... what a difference a year makes

And, as I write this it is the annivdersary of the MiG and MC & LH show...At about this time Donna and I were heading back to the hotel to change clothes and get ready to go to Carmine's...And like an idiot I headed us out just before Marty started Ring of Fire, the one song I really wanted to see (and hear) him do live. I was sure I'd get another chance to MC & LH do that song. Then the wonderful show at Carmine's, especially the J & K dance show during Mustang Sally and our mad dash to Rockit Bar for MiG's two songs...memories of Donna and I thinking we needed to get in line to get in (cos there was a line) then realizing all we needed to do was walk up to the bouncer and flash the wonderful MiG business cards that Cammy had made for us. The bouncer asked us who we were with and we said "MiG". He said "OK, go right in." I remember how noisy it was in there AND crowded. I also remember that Cheryl and Joyce and I all seemed to see Marty at the same time and kinda surrounded him. I was so pleased to get my picture with him, which gave me the courage to do our exclusive interview with him at the end of last year at the Monkey Bar. The weekend in Chicago last year was one tht made memories (and lasting friendships) for me that I will never forget. There were so many of you that I had already met and become friends with then I go to meet some of my 'online friends' plus people I didn't even know at all, esepcially all the Hammerheads. And, MB, we really missed you in Chicago. My thanks goes out to Nancy and Kay for all the time, effort and expense the put out as well as all the time Cammy took to make the business cards and provide the holders and lanyards for us to use. Actually, I want to thank everyone who had a part in making the Big MiGcago Weekend the smashing success it was. We had no way of knowing the changes that would come about during the next 12 months but I'm glad to say that we're still here and we're still friends with each other. I agree that it would be so good for us to get together somewhere just to see everyone again. I miss all of you and the Po MiG tinis... #bearhug# #teammig#
