new songIt's pretty cold for late September The autumn wind is creepin' in The summer sun packed up it's long gone There's a whole lot of leaving going on I'll bet it's warm in California I think it's time to hit the road I just might call that band of gypsies Go searching for our pot of gold Seems like lately there's a whole lot of leaving goin on

Here's two verses...No chorus cos that would name the song but I'll post the chorus later if no one gets that song...
Everybody's high on consolation Everybody's tryin to tell me what is right for me I need a drink and a quick decision Now it's up to me OOOH What will be will be
Get up in the morning Look in the mirror Worn as a toothbrush hangin in the stand My face ain't lookin any younger Now I can see love's takin her toll on me

Here's a hint, one of the lines in the chorus is "I'd pay the devil to replace her...." And it's one of the early hits, probablly the first one, before Sara Smile and Rich Girl...the title is two words...Now that's all the hints I'm gonna give except that I think it's off Abandoned Luncheonette but I'm not sure on that one. LOL

It's the terror of knowing What this world is about Watching some good friends Screaming let me out Pray tomorrow - high higher Wow, you picked one of my fave Queen songs....Under Pressure....Am I right? I intentionally chose a 2nd or 3rd verse & omitted the chorus because I KNOW you are a Queen fan but, wow I'm impressed! You guessed this one immediately! #th70sdance##thhappy096# #th70sdance# Pressure pushing down on me Pressing down on you no man ask for Under pressure - that burns a building down Splits a family in two Puts people on streets
It's the terror of knowing What this world is about Watching some good friends Screaming let me out Pray tomorrow - gets me higher
Pressure on people - people on streets
She been around Kicked my brains round the floor These are the days it rains but it never pours
People on streets People on streets
It's the terror of knowing What this world is about Watching some good friends Screaming let me out Pray tomorrow - high higher
Turned away from it all like a blind man Sat on a fence but it don't work Keep coming up with love but it's so slashed and torn Why - Ooooh
Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking Can't we give ourselves one more chance Why can't we give love that one more chance Why can't we give love Give love give love give love give love Give love give love give love
Love's such an old fashioned word And love dares you to care for The people on the edge of the night And love dares you to change our way of Caring about ourselves This is our last dance This is our last dance This is ourselves
Under pressure Under pressure Pressure

I actually had to go and listen to the song again to be sure. Is that cheating? LOL.
Here's an old Rolling Stones song (again can't use the chorus cos it's the title) so I'll just use dashes):
- - - The girl who once had me down - - - The girl who once pushed me around It's down to me The difference in the clothes she wears Down to me, the change has come, She's - - - Ain't it the truth babe? - - - The squirmin' dog who's just had her day - - - A girl who has just changed her ways It's down to me, yes it is The way she does just what she's told Down to me, the change has come She's - - -
A Siamese cat of a girl - - - She's the sweetest, hmmm, pet in the world It's down to me The way she talks when she's spoken to Down to me, the change has come,
It's down to me, oh yeah The way she talks when she's spoken to Down to me, the change has come, - - - Her eyes are just kept to herself - - -, well I I can still look at someone else It's down to me, oh that's what I said The way she talks when she's spoken to Down to me, the change has come,
PS: This is actually from the version of the song that Michael Hutchence did with the London Philharmonic Orchestra as a tribute to the Stones and about the only song on that cd I can listen to.
