Did you see the ads for the Martin Scorcese film that's coming out of the Stones from this last tour. It looks like it'll be awesome. I saw the last theatrical release they did in the 80s, Let's Spend The Night Together and it was terrific.
Since I gave you most of the lyrics of the song I can't really give you any more hints...especially since I don't remember which album it's from but I'm pretty sure it was done before Angie...could be wrong though...

No problem with trying to give more clues... what I need is time to actually think. My days of multi tasking seem to be gone & right now I've been concentrating on other projects. I just wanted to let you know that I was "thinking". I know I should KNOW it... so familiar, but right now it slips my tongue. I think I own almost every Stone album & my ipod is loaded with their songs. Ads for the Martin Scorcese I think I've missed this too. However, that name with the Stones means it has to be good ;D

I can't remember if it's been on tv or if I saw when I went to see Jumpers week before last. Seems that's where I saw it cos it was a rather long preview. I'm not sure if it was filmed in LA or NYC but there's several guest performers with them. I think they're trying to compete with the U2 film coming out about the same time. All I know for sure is that it was filmed during the tour sometime late last year.

And, as for multitasking, LOL, I'm here on Team MiG and listening to a live Duran Duran Concert from about 2002...one of my fave songs, New Moon On Monday...Take your time, I'm in no hurry and no one else seems brave enough to try to guess the song, LOL.

I actually had to go and listen to the song again to be sure. Is that cheating? LOL. Here's an old Rolling Stones song (again can't use the chorus cos it's the title) so I'll just use dashes): - - - The girl who once had me down - - - The girl who once pushed me around It's down to me The difference in the clothes she wears Down to me, the change has come, She's - - - Ain't it the truth babe? - - - The squirmin' dog who's just had her day - - - A girl who has just changed her ways It's down to me, yes it is The way she does just what she's told Down to me, the change has come She's - - - A Siamese cat of a girl - - - She's the sweetest, hmmm, pet in the world It's down to me The way she talks when she's spoken to Down to me, the change has come, It's down to me, oh yeah The way she talks when she's spoken to Down to me, the change has come, - - - Her eyes are just kept to herself - - -, well I I can still look at someone else It's down to me, oh that's what I said The way she talks when she's spoken to Down to me, the change has come, PS: This is actually from the version of the song that Michael Hutchence did with the London Philharmonic Orchestra as a tribute to the Stones and about the only song on that cd I can listen to. Another favorite band.... I've been to several of their concerts and was NEVER disappointed. Now, let me think ..... I KNEW I knew this... so familiar, how come it took me so long. Sheeze, I hate it when my mind goes blank. Is it ....... Under My Thumb?

Yep. Have you ever heard Michael Hutchence's version that he did with the London Symphony Orchestra as a tribute to the Stones? There were all kinds of people who did songs on that album...Marianne Faithful (Mick's old flame) did AS Tears Go By. The other songs on the album are Street Fighting Man, Paint it Black, Synpathy for the Devil, Dandelion, Ruby Tuesday, Angie, She's a Rainbow, Gimme Shelter and Jumpin' Jack Flash. The only one I ever listen to on the cd is Under My Thumb. Most of the songs are instrumentals, which probably explains why I don't listen to more than a couple tracks. The title of the album is Symphonic Music of the Rolling Stones.

Then, added CD's. Now, I have an iPod & am discovering an amazing world of music. I have 2 basic moods of music: upbeat for exercise & mellow for work. Within those moods I have jazz, blues, country, rock, movie sound tracks, oldies, etc., etc., etc. There are a few like Queen, Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, Robert Plant, Tom Petty, Beatles, Rod Stewart etc that I have almost all their stuff. Surprisingly, my INXS collection is very small. But, I have a couple of cassettes that I downhill skied to all day every weekend from Nov. - Apr. back in the early 80's.

I have everything INXS did except an early vinyl called Decadence and Switch (something I'll NEVER own). I'd love to get Decadence but every time it's on Ebay it's VERY expensive...and used copies on Amazon are going for like $100 so I don't think I'll ever have it unless they put it out on cd as a remaster of Michael's stuff. I also have all three of Michael's solo things Max Q, Michael Hutchence and the last one that Bono took the masters and finished for him after he died. And here's the cute story, INXS and or Michael did songs on movie soundtracks so I proceeded to go on Amazon and buy all those soundtracks for the songs. Michael's version of Spill the Wine is pretty cool but my all time favorite soundtrack song is from the Lost Boys. It's called Good Times and they did it with Jimmy Barnes... so cool. Anyway, it's your turn for a song. Have you got one yet?

Hallucinate Dessegregate Mediate Alleviate Try not to hate
Love your mate Don't suffocate on your own hate Designate your love as fate A one world state As human freight The number eight A white black state A gentle trait The broken crate A heavy weight Or just too late Like pretty Kate has sex ornate Now devastate Appreciate Depreciate Fabricate Emulate The truth dilate Special date The animal we ate Guilt debate The edge serrate A better rate The youth irate Deliberate
Fascinate Deviate Reinstate Liberate To moderate Recreate Or detonate Annihiliate Atomic fate
Mediate Clear the state Activate Now radiate A perfect state Food on plate Gravitate The Earth's own weight Designate your love as fate At ninety-eight we all rotate
Hallucinate Dessegregate Mediate Alleviate Try not to hate
Love your mate Don't suffocate on your own hate Designate your love as fate A one world state As human freight The number eight A white black state A gentle trait The broken crate
A heavy weight Or just too late Like pretty Kate has sex ornate

Liberate Liberate Liberate

INXS-Mediate...I love the vid for that song. So cool. CORRECT again! I had so hoped to pull an "oldie" that you wouldn't guess immediately. This song is one of the ones I played endlessly back in the 80's.
