OMG!! I would want to go, too, but you won't enjoy it if you are in pain the whole time. Do you like Staind? Hopefully, DC will be headlining his own tour all over the US soon!!

Staind is just ok so I thought maybe I could just go for the DC part. With a venue that size even if I am in the back I could probably still see and hear but the parking is a bit crazy and i am not sure it is safe to walk around downtown by myself. sigh, i should just do it. if i had someone to go wiht i would probably just do it but to go alone-I did it for the juke kartel and had a great time but i was more comfortable being on osu's campus by myslef than trying to find parking and walking alone, esp if I am leaving mid concert. hard to believe there aRE ONLY 2200 Available admissions and still tickets available at the door. one of the local radio stations has been promoting it so I thought they would be sold out. The lady at the place said come on down and buy tickets at the door.

Well, did you go? I would def go if it was a small venue, not so sure about a large venue if I wasn't feeling in good shape, I'd want to know I would be able to meet him.

Nope Just too tired. If there was seating i would have considered it. I know that we wouldn't have sat during the concert but I wouldn have found it helpful while waiting. The only meet and greet was for radio statiion winners. I so hope he comes back!

Did you find out if it was a sell-out. As you mentioned, it's hard to believe that you could just appear and get tickets at the door.

I didn't hear anything else but I called at 415 and there were still tickets available for doors opening at 7 concert was to start at 8. I wish i would have gone Found some stuff on daVID-COOK.ORG SET LIST heroes w extended intro mr sensitive declaration life on the moon permanent hunger strike barbasol light on sounds like a great set, eh?? here's a shot from one of them www.david-cook.org/index.php?showtopic=15646&st=420here is one recap from someone who drove in from St. Louis(and I didn't even come from North columbus what a loser I am) It turns out that even though we didn't get in the front, the venue was small enough that we still had an excellent view. The entire concert was the "highlight", but for me, two songs made the entire trip more than worthwhile -- seeing them perform Permanent and Hunger Strike. For those of you who have been following the Permanent thread discussion, if I had any doubt that God is talking to David during the part of the song where he sings "I'm Permanent" twice, I have absolutely no doubt now. The song was performed with Andy on the keyboard and David quietly singing until this part and then the entire band joins in a booming rock chorus with David (God) loudly declaring "I'm Permanent". The effect was breathtaking! And then there was "Hunger Strike", which is the Temple of the Dog cover that MWK performed in Tulsa. If you haven't seen the YT video of this performance, check out this link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg5WYLYF1SIIt was like the three amigos were back in Tulsa performing, only now David is singing lead instead of Andy (although it could be argued that David was singing the lead on this song in Tulsa too) and there were a couple of thousand people watching them instead of less than 100. The only cover I would have like to see them do more would be Creep. Finally, there was one moment of banter with the crowd that I hope gets posted if it hasn't been already. David was introducing the band and introduced everyone but Kyle. He says I'm not going to introduce him because "he hit me in the nuts today......but then I hit him in his yesterday". This was David at his funniest and finally getting to act like a 25 year old. Gotta go. Can't wait to see more pictures and recaps. Also can't wait till the solo "tewer" after the New Year. Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you then. the videos are uploaded at this site www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=6CECDBDB35EF9BD0thank goodness for youtube the next best thing to live or a cellcert

Sounds like a great time for the DC fans. I know how fun it is to not only catch a concert, but to follow around to other venues!!!

Some of those guys are ones he played wiht before AI. I think his guitar players do a great job and think his drummer is talented but I don't think he adds to David's performances because he insists on swinging his long hair continuously and trying to draw all the attention to himself. A really talented drummer doesn't need gimmics like that. It really distracts me to see cousin itt back there swinging his hair all the time. Todd of Juke Kartel does the same thing.

and let's not forget Tommy Lee, a drummer who insists on garnering as much attention for himself as possible, even to the point of pretty much ruining Rockstar. But then there is Queen...Roger Taylor would never try to take the attention from Freddie, because he knew what was best for the band as a whole!
