Boy, I wish we had a longer lead time than only 3 weeks, I'd love to go to Boston, but it's too late to change my vacation week. Boo hoo for me.
Buy yaaay, it's going to be on PBS!!!!!!!!! This is too fantastic, it will be broadcast all over the U S!!! The Boston Pops are quite famous and popular so the viewing audience should be quite large!

This is a perfect gig for him and should get him some great recognition. I had suggested to Nancy one time about getting a gig for him at our picnic at the pops but now our pops have folded hopefully just temporarily

More info for ya... the tickets are $55.00 each with no discount tickets available. The show is on a Sunday night. And I have a working knowledge of where the show is. And I wouldn't have to go through Newark to get there this time cos I can plot my way there by going near Wallkill (Laurie & Wendy, do I have any takers to go along to Boston?) as well as possibly Donna, who has also been to Boston before. I LOVED Boston except when I made the wrong turn that sent me to Cambridge and I spent five and a half hours trying to get to a hotel that was five minutes from downtown Boston. I saw every side of Harvard University you could see except inside the gates, LOL. At least this time I would have to try to cross the Charles River to get to the show...I wanna go...I really do...gotta figure out how though...hmmmm.

Wanda, that would be soooo awesome if you and Wendy and Laurie and Donna could all go! After all, it's a tradition for forum members to be at every possible MiG gig!!!!
haha, can you detour by ohio and pick me up? lol, if only.

If it would give me help with the cost of gas, etc, I'd try to find a way to do it, Toni. You'd have to share with Nigel on the ride up and back, LOL... I know it's short notice but let me do some finagling and see what we can work out if you're serious....

Unfortunately, I think it's too late to get the time off work. But you know I will be checking on that, hahaha. And since Darrell would be going, I'm sure we would be driving ourselves, but certainly willing to be roomies with any and all!!! hahaha, some of our new fans don't know about some of our room arrangements, lol!!! Anyway, it's all about work, and that's a big "about". Dont' worry, ya'll will be the first to know if there would be any chance.......

Toni- Just checked my map thingy and it's an 11 hour drive for you and Darrell...Then I went to check hotels...well, there are hotels that are within just a few blocks of the theatre... if you want to pay for them....$300+ to $1150 a night... If you go a few miles outside Boston the rates become more managable. My best bet (cos there aren't that many cheaper hotels that allow pets) would be to go up on the 19th and drop Nigel off in Springfield (90 miles beyond Boston) so that he could stay with Rich and Terry (Karen's mom and Dad) and Karen could join us in Boston provided most all could get there on Saturday so we could have some time to see the city now that the Big Dig is done and Ben Affleck isn't doing a movie there, LOL. It would also give us a chance to relax before the show the next night. I really want to go but less than 4 weeks to arrange it is going to be tough....
