This sounds so great. I will have to ask one of my relatives to tape it for me.

hah, I'm way closer to you, yet still too far! I even took a stab at looking at airfare sites, thinking if I had at least sunday off I could dash in on a redeye and dash back. Eeeekkkk, no way! OMG, the airfares, what was I thinking! And on one cheap airline, there is no way to get from Detroit to Boston unless you go to south Carolina first, hahaha!

#IDunno#isn't that amazing how the cheaper flights usually have you flying around the country to get where you are going. You would think that would burn more fuel and be the more expensive flight...makes absolutely no sense! #thdoh-1#

More info for ya... the tickets are $55.00 each with no discount tickets available. The show is on a Sunday night. And I have a working knowledge of where the show is. And I wouldn't have to go through Newark to get there this time cos I can plot my way there by going near Wallkill (Laurie & Wendy, do I have any takers to go along to Boston?) as well as possibly Donna, who has also been to Boston before. I LOVED Boston except when I made the wrong turn that sent me to Cambridge and I spent five and a half hours trying to get to a hotel that was five minutes from downtown Boston. I saw every side of Harvard University you could see except inside the gates, LOL. At least this time I would have to try to cross the Charles River to get to the show...I wanna go...I really do...gotta figure out how though...hmmmm. Wanda - I LOVE Boston and this sounds like an awesome show - unfortunately I have a commitment to an ash scattering ceremony that weekend for my boyfriends' best friedn - the wife is staying with us so I must be hospitable...
maybe they will perform it in other cities? (But Boston is super cool!)

I just found some $307 flights from Houston on travelocity. ;D Which isn't bad, I was expecting in the $800-$900 range as it usually runs $1200 to fly into North Dakota . That's my garage sale weekend though. Maybe I will do that the weekend before, so I could have some spending money....I am probably just dreaming

Dreaming is good! ;D You'd have such a fun time. That's a GREAT price for a flight right now. Crossing my fingers for you! Kay

I would love to go Kay :-)
The price is right and the time of year would be perfect. I always wanted to go to the Northeast in the fall with all the leaves changing color. Down here, we have nothing like that, the leaves fall off....period :-)
Are you going?

You guys are killin' me!!!!!! I wanna go, too! The cost for me is double, as DH would def be going, too. The show sounds fascinating, rocking the messiah score!!! But this is a one-off show, Wenda, for now . Now if it turns out to be wildly popular, they might just do more!!!!

An idea for those looking to possibly go to Boston. Check on the cost of flying into Hartford, CT's airport. I would be willing to do a little shuttle work for this since I have a friend that lives in Springfield (not far from Hartford) and plan on visiting her before the event. That's where she flies in and out of all the time... and it's right on the way to Boston from her house. If Donna is able to go with me she would be coming in on Saturday and leaving on Monday. I'm looking into hotels now to find a good one that isn't too far from the venue. It looks like unless you are independently wealthy staying closer than 5 miles from the place is going to be out of the question. I've found a couple places that are between $125 and $150 a night for up to 4 people in a room.

How close is Hartford to Boston, Wanda?
I have never been to the east coast so I don't have a clue. By looking on the map, everything looks close as the states are pretty small. I will check out the prices to Hartford and see. Thanks!

I will check out the prices to Hartford and see. Thanks! My friend lives in Springfield, MA which is about 25-30 miles from Hartord making it about 60 miles from Boston. What I'm planning to do is to go up on Thursday and see my friends in Springfield. Karen is going to get back to me whether she can go to the show in Boston or not but I'll will be staying with her Thursday Night and Friday night then driving into Boston and staying Saturday Night and Sunday Night before going back to her house on Monday and coming home on Tuesday...that's the plan as of right now. The reason for me doing this is because my dog travels with me and Karen's dad adores him so if I can leave him someplace that he won't be alone in a room all day I like that thought better and it makes it easier to find accommodations... You pass the exit to the Hartford airport from the highway going to Springfield.

Thanks Wanda :-)
The flights to Hartford are about $20.00 more than to Boston. I need to figure out my finances and make my decision soon.

Well, I talked to Kimbo tonight to let her know about the show cos she doesn't really have access, reliable that is, right now (she hopes to have it by this time next week and hopes to be back with all of us then). She's checking her finances now to see if she can work out a way to go. My friend in Springfield won't be able to go to the show so I won't be travelling to Springfield anyway. I'll say that Logan Airport is now the best bet for going to Boston since it is only about 5 miles outside Boston. If things work out it looks like we might have a TM crew to sow up there and support MiG. I hope so.
