Well, I wasn't overly impressed with little Castro. He also didn't seem like he really cared...I'm assuming that's his way of coping with the stress of being on tv, wanting to suceed, etc. And he has possibilities. I just hope his 'devil may care' attitude doesn't backfire later on. I like to see that the music is in the soul, not just something to do on the side.

I thought Michael was great! I'm so happy he made it to Hollywood. He and Jason seem so different.....both in good ways.
My co-workers have been talking about hearing Jason on the radio. Good for him!!

Michael is definitely the soulful singer in the family. He likes the bluesier more soulful music. Joyce...did you recognize the song? ;D Toni...he's got the singing bug now. He started a Myspace music page and has been writing and recording during the winter break from school. www.myspace.com/michaelcastromusic

Yes, I did! I thought Michael was great too. I was surprised to hear that he had only been singing for a few weeks before the audition! Sounds like he has great potential. Jason and the whole family got a lot of face time too. I thought it was funny when the brothers were discussing the "girly" comment. ;D

I missed the show, but got the youtube version of Michael, I think he is great. I like his voice a lot. I am not sure about his hair, although I know it sets him apart or make him stand out. He has a fuller voice, lower than Jason. He is different, wonder if he is more like Dad ! And, he has good taste in music

I must have misstated, it is an AI clip, you can find it in this fansite under Copious Castro's Scroll down a bit. Seeing Lukas included in your avatar, you will like Michael It has been referred to as his skunk stripe LoL www.castrocopia.com/

Oh wow, Adam Lambert has so many similarities to MiG. Even the reference to being "too theater".

VFTW is going to have a field day with some of the contestants they put through. I'm baffled. Those poor kids are going to be skewered. I hope y'all noticed that Michael Castro did not make the top group. He is soooo fine with it though. He's been writing and doing a bit of recording and performing. He's discovering his love for music and just beginning the process.

I did notice that, Nancy, and wondered about it. I am glad he is ok about it...since he is new to it all, I hope he tries again next year after he gets some experience under his belt. The one that impresses me the most is the 16 yr. old girl, although I don't know if her style of singing will convince the audience to vote her to win. Seems the audiences are more into pop-rock singers.

Decided to double post...I didn't really like what they did with the show last night. It was cruel of them to pit best friends against each other and I think they did just that for ratings...to hype up the drama. It was totally unneccessary to have those sing-offs. They could have gone back through the tapes to review the singers...or ask all of them to do a quick acapella at the interview.
