Someone tell Mr. Cook he needs to rethink that hairdo. The way he combs it all pointy at the top makes him look like he is becomming a conehead! IMO, it ruins an otherwise awesome photo. Question...he has rss feeds, does he get credit for a hit every time a feed goes out? And how cool is it that he has a mobile tab, presumably for your phone/blackberry internets.

18 Sep 2008Hey Guys,
I wanted to drop a note and answer a few emails that I’ve been getting! I can’t thank you guys enough for all the sign-ups and emails pertaining to the website. And thanks to everyone who came out on the tour. As you know, the AI tour has ended and although it was sad to sing together for the last time in Tulsa, we had a blast all summer.....
The new album is coming along great! I can say that, because I’m in the studio typing this, as we speak. Well as I speak. You’re reading. You guys are going to be the first to know the name of the first single AND what the album cover is going to look like. Make sure to sign up to get in on that if you’re interested in being the first to know.
I love the new site and hope you do too...it’s just the beginning and we’re still working out some kinks here and there. I know a few people had some password issues and that’s all been fixed we think. The web nerds (get it?) helping me out apologize for the inconvenience. So much more coming for the site too....like a points system, listening parties, maybe even a few other secret things that I’ll be able to talk about soon.
I also wanted to grab a few emails and respond to them because I really appreciate you emailing me. I do read email, but obviously can’t respond to all of them...so I’ll pick out a few to blog about from time to time. Below are this week’s picks!
Again thanks guys!
~D

David's official site was down, but I saw this on the "official" fan site forum. I am so very sorry to be posting this.
"ANNOUNCEMENT FROM DAVID!
As you all know, David ran the 5K Race for Hope this morning in Washington, DC to aid in funds and awareness for research in the fight for Brain Cancer.
David finished the race and during a media release announced the passing of his brother Adam Cook.
We understand the great emotional impact this has on everyone. However, out of respect for David and his family, we ask you to not discuss this topic any further on David-Cook.org. "

This was on ET Online:
ET confirms that "American Idol" winner David Cook's brother Adam has passed away after a long battle with brain cancer.
David announced the sad news Sunday at the Race for Hope 5K fund-raising race in Washington D.C. He said he had lost his 36-year-old brother the previous day, but was still proud to attend the event, which is held as a way to fight brain tumors. "I lost one today," he told the crowd, "but I gained 9,000 -- and I will be here every year that they will have me."
David had often spoken of his admiration and inspiration for Adam, including during the "American Idol" competition. About a year ago, Adam -- despite being ill and undergoing chemotherapy -- traveled to Los Angeles to see David perform on the hit reality show.
The Race for Hope in Washington D.C. has raised more than $7.3 million to find a cure for brain tumors and provide support to brain tumor patients and their families.
My heart goes out to David and his family at this sad time.
