I went to see 2012 Friday night. I was prepared not to like the movie because I'm definately not a John Cusack fan. Don't like his sister, Joan, either. The first 20 minutes of the movie were really slow. I was sure my first thought had been right. Boy was I wrong. The movie is long, nearly 3 hours, but after the first 20 minutes you don't notice the length because it is edge-of-your-seat action from that point on. Time for Miracles is the first of two songs played over the closing credits and was the reason I went to see the movie (I wanted to see if the song was during the movie or the credits). I intend to see the movie again.
I've told people that have asked that any movie that can have Woody Harrelson in it as a character that it takes me five minutes to figure out who he is (his character, Charlie, is eccentric, to say the least. All I'll say is The Coast Is Toast and so is DC...the South Pole, once the land masses settle, is now somewhere in Wisconsin. And the hightest point in the world is the Cape of Good Hope in Africa.
If you get a chance to see it I think most of you will enjoy it. It's a really good movie about the resilience of the human spirit.

I haven't decided if I will go see it, or wait for HBO. I really don't like disaster movies where so many people get killed, it's just so sad even when it has a good ending.
