In 2009, MiG composed a song called United As One to inspire financial support and give comfort to the victims of Typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines. He made a United As One video as well, and his efforts made a huge difference. In December 2011, the Philippines endured another tragedy when Typhoon Sendong struck. About 1,000 people died.....
MiG has created a United As One page on mig-music with the song and new video, an e-card to share, steps to donate, lyrics to the song, and more. The video is very well done, yet it's heart-wrenching. Some images are not for children's eyes, or the faint of heart. It illustrates the true heartache and devastation that the people of the Philippines are experiencing. MiG was born in the Philippines and numerous family members still live there, so this effort is very important to MiG. You can purchase and download United As One at mig-music, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Philippine Red Cross.
Please read MiG's letter below...
Typhoon Sendong ('Washi') hit the Philippine island of Mindanao on 17 December, 2011, causing incredible devastation. About 1,000 deaths and the displacement of over 280,000 people just before Christmas is a tragedy beyond comprehension.
Using images and videos downloaded from YouTube, this montage was pieced together to help bring light to the plight of the people of Iligan, Northern Mindanao, the Visayas and Palawan, to the soundtrack of a song I wrote called "UNITED AS ONE". I originally wrote this song to help the victims of Typhoon Ondoy in 2009, but it is a song that is a call-to-arms to any emergency where help is needed.
The victims of Typhoon Sendong need your help now.
Please give generously to help those who have lost everything.

Portion of proceeds from all sales of the song will be donated to the Philippine Red Cross.
Thank you so much for opening your hearts.
Always love,
