Well, I am officially in mourning. Apparently CBS didn't see the show the way we fans do and have decided not to renew it. There's a very, very, very slight chance that the CW may pick it up but I'm afraid if they do that they will change the whole thing around and make it into another one of their teeniebopper shows (ooh, showing my age with that term) and it won't be Mick and Beth. As for Friday's show....ooooh...interesting ending. And Jason Dohring has worked with the new ADA on his previous series so they're old friends. I'd love to see the show picked up but we'll have to wait and see. #1381# N OOOOOOOOOOOOO #1381#

Not to worry, Rose, at least they're going to rerun some of the shows so I'm going to tape them to have Mick even after the show is gone...Who knows, maybe someone will convince the Sci Fi channel to pick it up. It's definately better than a lot of the stuff on there right now...excluding Battlestar Galactica and Stargate.
Don't forget to watch tonight... this is one of the better reruns...I hope we get to see The Mortal Cure and the last four again. Those were soooo good.

I missed last night's show. I think they should put it on a different day and it will pick up more fans. Friday night at 9 (for us) in my opinion is prime time to be out dining. I sure hope they change their mind. I wonder if they do not have prolific writers and they are runing out of plots.

I ended up missing it too I agree that the show may have done better in a different time slot. There are many, many, many twists & turns & sub plots that never were carried though... lots of loose ends. This really was an excellent show & I'm so disappointed that it is not coming back to CBS. I do hope Wanda is right & another network or cable picks it up. BUT, it has to be the same show with the same people!

Rose- Have you see the piece of crap they think will get fans to watch that they're touting for this fall in Moonlight's spot. It's called The Exes..it's about a girl who has her fortune told and finds out that one of her exes is actually her soulmate so she goes searching for him cos the fortune teller couldn't tell her his name or what he looked liked. The thing that turned me off about the whole thing was her bragging about HOW MANY men she had dated...in this day of learning to protect yourself you shouldn't brag about being promiscuous...and also a reason I don't and won't watch Swingtown (one of the summer replacement shows about "swinging" in the 70s. I lived through that era and it's not one I care to go back to, not even on TV. I agree with you, BRING BACK MICK....and bring back Henry on LIFETIME while you're at it...

I caught a glimpse of that ad the other night night & it does NOT look interesting at all. I will not be watching it - I won't even watch it one time just to se cause I already know I'm not interested. Swingtown? ack ack ack That one does not sound good either. What the heck arte we going to watch now Bring back Mick & yes, while we are bringing back #hot12# vamps #drool# bring back Henry

Well, I promise you I certainly won't be watching CBS on Friday nights. I know your hubby likes Ghost Whisperer and I like Numbers but I don't know if I'll keep watching Numbers after this season...I didn't like the way the season ended with that one or NCIS either...

We won't be watching CBS on Friday either. Hubby is burnt ourt on Ghost Whisperer (I never was a huge fan) and Numbers has been destroyed; we also hate the changes Right now, it looks like Friday night will be video night.

Thanks for the tip about SciFi, Rose. Unfortunately tonight I'm going up to Borders for their TWILIGHT release party. If it's anything like the party they had for the release of the last Harrpy Potter book it'll be great. Then, at Midnight, I'm going across the road to Walmart and get it there $5 cheaper than Borders. I can't wait to get that sucker in my hot little hands...I've been waiting all of about 4 months for it and the next movie comes out in November...on the 20th if I'm not mistaken. Can't wait for it either. I'll catch up with Mick next week (or early in the morning since they rerun their primetime shows after midnight.

The show has a huge internet following/chat sites/groups et al. The numbers more than supported it on CBS and it appears the numbers more than supported it on SciFi. I can't find any discussion why it is gone again, so wonder what gives? Twilight? hmmm is there a thread discussion for this one? I'd like to know what you think. I know it has a huge following by kids... just don't know about people in my age group. Point me in the right direction & I'll follow the discussion over there.

Rose-There's a Twilight thread in the Rec Room Movies thread. I'm not sure if this direct link to the thread will work or not but here goes: teammig.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=movies&action=display&thread=1994&page=1As for Moonlight, I just found out that the DVDs of the entire series was released on January 20, 2009. It's available on Walmart.com and SOME of the Walmart stores. I haven't checked my local ones yet cos I didn't know to check. If they've got it in-store I'll get the set next payday (a week from tomorrow) then we won't have to be held to anyone's TV schedule. I know that Friday night was the Finale of Battlestar Galactica and then the next two Fridays will be special showings of the two SG-1 movies: Continium and The Ark of Truth. Maybe after those two specials they'll go back to showing Moonlight.
