What can I say about Carmine's? Well, awesome food, great atmosphere, nice little intimate setting. I loved it. Unfortunately the lighting was too dark for my dinky little video camera to be able to shoot the show so I left the videoing to Donna and Jaunty (well, Kiana) and did two-handed digital phots with my camera and Donna's... It was so dark I really couldn't see what the pictures looked like that I shot until we got back to the hotel and I uploaded them to the computer. The my AVI picture is one of the ones I took at Carmine's and possibly one of my favorite pictures of MiG that I've taken, ever. I really loved hearing MiG run the gamut from Stevie Wonder to Billy Joel to U2, Elton John and yes, even Prince! I truly loved MiG's take on INXS with his versons of Need You Tonight (which he dedicated to a certain Suicide Blonde in our group... she says he was talking about someone else but I think different) and Never Tear Us Apart and Mystify. He really kicked on Freedom, especially with the What You Need intro to the song but the absolute most awesome performance was the finale when he and Troy Burke shared duties on Mustang Sally. Just ask Jaunty and Kay about how much they enjoyed that song...they just couldn't keep their feet still! Other stand outs were One, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and What's Goin' On. I could go on and on cos there wasn't a bad song in the set so I'll just say that Donna and I gathered our stuff, went outside to catch a taxi to go to Rockit Bar and had three very intoxicated men get out of the taxi. It was so funny watching the first one try to help his two friends out of the cab so we could get in. I certainly hope they didn't get any more alcohol before heading home...
