I made my bi-monthly stop at the dialysis unit today to see my friends there and to show off some of the MiG things I had accumulated but had no way to show them (namely the downloads of the videos from Team MiG's gallery since they are in windows media format and won't play on a regular DVD player) until I got my laptop last weekend. Well, I was showing Cindy the songs MiG did at the Leyte benefit (I think) and the son or grandson of one of the patients came up behind us and asked Cindy if we were watching video of her son (she doesn't have a son, only a son-in-law). We both said no then he looked closer at the video and said, "Oh, that's MiG from Rock Star: INXS isn't it?" I grinned really big and said, "Yeah." He said, "He was awesome on there and should have won. He was robbed." I asked if he'd ever seen him and he said he hadn't but would like to. Then I told him about MiG's album and some of the songs on it and he was really pumped. He said that Wake Me Up When September Ends would be awesome with an orchestra behind it and that Have You Ever Seen the Rain would be so cool. Then I told him that Frampton played guitar on Baby, I Love Your Way and he said, "I'm gonna HAVE to have that cd when it comes out." Unfortunately, I didn't have any of my postcards with me so that I could give it to him. I'll be sure I take some with me the next time I go down to the unit in a couple of weeks. Just thought you'd like to know about another quarter heard from...and I don't even know his name. I'll find out though.
