I hope I didn't overbuild your expectations but, I was NOT disappointed on many levels. Besides, the Harrison eye candy is fun Yep, the Harrison eye candy is more than worth the price of admission! I did see the movie today and thought it was great. It was so nice to see him in that role again. I can't imagine anyone else playing that part, including Tom Selleck, who they've said was the original choice. I stayed for the credits and was surprised that the movie was shot entirely in the U.S. - in New Mexico, Connecticut, and Hawaii. Now I want to watch the first three, and then go see this movie again!

Sounds like you've been bit by the Indy bug too! We started with the last of the 1st 3 - the one with Sean Connery - our logic was it would e a s e us into the age difference of Harrison - then & now. It probably doesn't matter which way you do it. They are such FUN movies. I had heard that Tom Selleck was the 1st choice also but Tom was locked into the Magnum thing. I love Tom Selleck. I think Indiana would have ended up being a much different film... Selleck, to me, seems less "soft"

I love the Indy series. But we never go to the movies--too expensive--, we always wait for the movies to be on HBO cable. So I guess we will have to wait a while to see it. I don't mind, though, as when I finally see movies they are new to me, lol.

Normally - the over whelming majority of the time wait for DVD - to rent a movie as we don't pay for HBO or in this case, we will definitely buy it. BUT, this one, this one with my man Harrison, I just had to go out show support. PLUS, this movie screams theater. Nothing better than a full audience - we had great seats since we were there for the cheaper matinee & were 1st in the line - theater full of laughter & applause.. AWESOME! Any ways... it doesn't seem to take long anymore to make it to DVD. I don't know how long you have to wait for HBO. But, be sure to check it out as it is FUN.

I think I had them on VHS, but I got rid of all my VHS movies awhile ago. Do you have the Special Editions of these movies on DVD, Rose? Just wondered if it is worth the higher price. I enjoy going to matinees to avoid the crowds, although you do miss some of the laughter/applause, etc. especially for a movie like this. There were probably about 30 people in the theater when I saw it.

We have a boxed set - I think we got it from Costco so we didn't pay all that much - it doesn't say special edition any where ???Our set comes with a 4th one that is full of bonus material like behind the scenes stuff, teasers, trailers and documentaries created for the DVD collection. We got rid of over 200 VHS movies the weekend of May 18th. We have one VHS player & it is not even hooked up. Technology keeps forcing ups to upgrade to the next "best & improved" lever. ugh We would have never colleced so many on VHS had we known they would be "out" so soon.
