A couple members of Team MiG are having trouble with viewing subboards and/or threads, and when they try to click on one they're redirected to the main board.
For those of you having some difficulties, here are a few questions that will help identify the issue:
*What Internet browser are you using? *Are there any add-ons or toolbars on the browser? *Do you experience issues when you try to view all subboards or threads, or only certain ones?
A couple suggestions we've been given are to: -Delete your cache and Internet browsing history (under Internet options)
-Add the site to your Trusted Sites - go to Tools - Internet Options - Security Tab - Trusted Sites
I'll look further into this for you, so any information you can provide will be helpful. Feel free to send me a pm, or post the issues you're having here. If any of you have solved it already, let me know.

My issues started when I got my new computer running Windows Vista and IE7. I am pretty sure it had to do with a phishing filter but now since their are no ads on the site I can get right on again. IN the meantime I downloaded a different browser-Mozilla Firefox and had no problem with it-I could always sign on without problem so I don't think it was my firewall or antivirus. Sometimes it gave alerts and wouldn't let me on because of concern (again I think maybe phishing) about the photobucket pics posted. They were all legitimate pictures. There was one ebay ad that would flash at the top that would knock me off. I do have the yahoo toolbar and google toolbar on the ie browser

I never have any problems, I use IE7 at home, and Firefox at daughter's house. I can even access this site at work on the scanguns, and at the library. None of the computers use vista.

Here's another suggestion from Proboards (I'll e-mail it to those we know of who are having problems): Try using this URL to access the Forum: teammig.proboards.com (rather than http://teammig.proboards52.com)Please keep me posted if you hear of anyone having issues.

Now I am curious...why are there two different but related urls? I don't know the answer to that one - whether it's a standard practice by Proboards, or not. If I find the answer I'll fill you in. Maybe someone else knows?

I have not been here for the precise reason that when I click a thread, it takes me back to the main menu. ( This is one reason, other reason is that I have been busy) I cannot open messages as well. I have IE and Safari ( 2 separate computers), I can open safari with no problem, except I generally work from it and play from the other. I have not tried mozilla, but was getting ready to install it per some of the suggestions I read. I have this trouble for sometime, but I guess it started to spread now to the others

You will like Firefox...I've not heard anything bad about it like you hear about IE.

Please tell me how it goes, because if Firefox and/or the link above don't help you, I'll go back to Proboards for more help. I use Firefox and really like it. It's supposed to be much safer than IE - users are at less risk to online threats.

I'm giving google chrome a whirl... so far so good, but I've only been logged in for about 3 minutes. But the fact that I haven't been bumped back to the main page yet is good.
You'd think that proboards would fix whatever compatibility problem they have with IE though, wouldn't you?

IE 8 has been released but I haven't heard enough about it to try upgrading. I downloaded Google Chrome too and both that and firefox seem to work. Glad to see you back here JVD

I like Chrome because it doesn't bump me off to the front page here. I've had to download a lot of plug-ins (I couldn't even watch my own videos on youtube) but so far everything is smooth. One thing I don't like is that there doesn't seem to be a homepage, and also if I want to go back, I have to go back one page at a time. In IE, you can click the little tiny "down" arrow next to the back button and go back about 10 pages at a time. I never realized how much I do that until I couldn't do it in Chrome, lol.
All in all it's good - I'm trying to use it more and more, but I do find IE easier for some pages. Chrome is definitely better for this site though!
