Right now I like James and Jacob...there are a couple others, too, but I don't remember their names. The little country boy, Scotty, although very good, I think he should have done the Country Idol show. I think he is much to old-school country to win American Idol, which is more pop with a dash of rock.

James and Jacob are both really good, Toni! Pia has quite the voice too. It's hard to leave anyone out - all the performers have strong points and are enjoyable to watch. In my opinion this is the best overall group of talent they've had on the show. I haven't been watching for that many years, but these are especially good. I have to say my biggest favorites are Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. I'm glad Scotty wasn't on the country idol version, because then I would have missed seeing him They're both adorable! Their duet "I Told You So" was very well done. It's hard to believe they're only 16 and 17. Yes, they both seem much more mature than their age!

Note to self: NEVER WATCH ANOTHER ELIMINATION SHOW! I felt so bad for Pia. She's so beautiful and has a gorgeous voice. That was awful. It was so hard to see her hurt like that - and to see a lot of the artists in tears. I don't like the elimination shows at all. And why do they make them sing in that situation? That seems so insensitive.

What frosted me was how the judges kept going on about it being so wrong...yes it was, but it is what it is, and I really felt sorry for Stephano...he must have felt like chopped liver at that point. I don't think either one of them should have gone, but it's all about who power votes and not who is really the best. America chooses who they want, not who is best, which is sort of sad. If Pia had a lot more stage presence I think she would have been in the finals.

I felt bad for Pia too. I think she had best voice in the competition. I agree stage presence would maybe have helped but she has a voice I would buy an album to listen too. I read some criticism of her that she had no personality onstage but I just think she is classy. I agree with Toni that the judges probably made stefano feel bad but I don't think their criticism of her elimination was directed at him(esp J. LO. I think she thinks Stefano reminds her of Marc). I don't know who they would be happy about if they were eliminated-I think everyone was stellar on Wednesday. I am ticked though that VFTW has targeted the women in the comp. and has chosen Paul to get the votes as the worst. I don't personally care for his voice or stage presence but he does have a great smile. I think VFTW had trouble picking someone this season because I think they are all good. I just think Pia was better than most of them

Toni, I like James also. T he more I read about him the more impressed I am. He has dealt with so many problems-, his dad died of a drug overdose right before James was diagnosed with his tourettes and aspergers, his being bullied and picked on as a child and yet his talent has risen above that. I also read he works with children with disabilities but can't find anything to back that up

It's hard to decide who should win anyway....best voice, best presentations, best charisma...maybe that 's why the only time i've ever voted was on Rockstar:Inxs...a certain person on that show excelled in all 3!

Why, who might that have been, Toni? Were his initials MIG AYESA?!?!? I had never voted for anyone on any show before seeing MiG. He inspired me to vote like a maniac! MiG was amazing in every way, and is even more amazing now.
Stefano sang great. He did very well and I really enjoyed his performance. I took it that the judges didn't think Pia should get the least votes - not that Stefano should have been the one to leave. He looked so shaken. I hope he didn't think the judges meant that!
MB, that's impressive about James. He's terrific on stage. It sounds as though he's had a lot to overcome. Good for him to rise above it all!

hahaha, yes, MiG seems to hijack all the threads around here, lol.
I never voted on the supernova show...but I did support Toby by going to a show he had in Toledo. I'm glad I did as not many people went to that show.
