ANZAC Day Ceremonies Sunday Service April 2410:30 a.m.ANZAC Memorial Garden, on the roof of Rockefeller Center620 Fifth Avenue, New York City Dawn Service Monday, April 256 a.m.East Coast Memorial, Battery Park, New York City MiG will sing the National Anthems of the United States and Australia for both 2011 ANZAC Day Ceremonies.
ANZAC Day is when we pause to remember those Australians and New Zealanders killed in war, to honour returned servicemen and servicewomen and to pay tribute to those personnel who are currently serving their countries. Although its timing recalls the landing at Gallipoli of the Australia and New Zealand Army Corps on 25 April 1915, the Commemorative Service is for all those who have given their lives during conflict.
The Sunday Service on April 24 will take place in the ANZAC Memorial Garden. The entrance to the Garden is on the south side of West 50th Street. In the event of inclement weather, the service will be held in the room adjacent to the Garden.
The Dawn Service on April 25 will be held rain or shine – we encourage you to come prepared with warm clothing and an umbrella in case of inclement weather.
Both Services will be co-hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Consuls General.
For entry to the Sunday Service, please carry photo identification (for example, U.S. ID card, driver’s license or passport). Bags may be searched before being granted access to the Garden. Numbers will be restricted for the Sunday Service. Therefore, arrive early to be guaranteed entry.
Due to the nature of the Services, respectful attire is requested.
