That song is a blast out of the past. I kind of liked it when it was out but I had never seen them live or seen a video. Were they a one hit wonder or did they have other hits? They did pretty well with their harmonies I can't believe 378 people commented on that video. That is a lot of youtube traffic

I never really cared too much for that song. It's pleasant, but boring, lol. I did think the subject was amusing because that was pretty racy back in the day!

This was the stuff popular when I hit my teen years
Then there was all the really great music of the 70's-Beatles, Rolling Stones, all the Eric Clapton bands, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Eagles, Elton John, Billy Joel, BeeGees, really great rock. In college we had a lot of fun reliving the 60's wiht the Beach Boys parties and then launched straight into the disco era. I loved the late 60's and the 70's. Lots of the stuff still attracts new fans even today

ooops! I really liked Queen but not as much as the other groups I listed #hidingunderchair# There are actually a lot of other people I loved that I didn't mention here, those were such great years for music. I can't believe I forgot Bachman Turner Overdrive or Steely Dan. They were real favs ....and I didn't include any of the Motown sound another real oversight. Here was a classic from my youth. I remember listening to it while we practiced basketball. I didn't understand it all at the time
I have seen other explanations for some of the words but this guys take is interesting

it is fun to reminisce about the music from our youth. Back in 1979 when My sharona was released my husband and I were practicing dance steps to the Abba songs for our upcoming wedding dance.
