And I'll try to remember to take the Christmas Dumpling recipe in the house with me in a little while and post it too. It's actually called Mountain Dew Cobbler. I can tell you that you use 1 1/2cups of sugar, 16 cresant rolls and 2 large Granny Smith apples that you cut into 8ths. I just can't remember the rest of it or what temp the oven is but I'll get it posted in the next couple of hours. Wanda Wanda, did you ever post this recipe? I can't find it...... #please#

Mary Lee:
I guess I never got around to posting it. I'll have to look for it and try to do that asap. If I can't find it I'll have to ask the lady that made it and brought it to work to give it to me again. The only problem with that is she's on vacation until July 5 or maybe it's July 2, but I will definately get it and post it here.
Has anyone tried the ice cream recipe that Heaven Lee did at the beginning of A Star is Torn?
If you didn't see it here's the recipe:
Food processor Frozen fruit of your choice (Keep Frozen) they used strawberries. I package of instant vanilla pudding Whipping cream (you can find it in the dairy case beside the half and half) not in the can.
Put the frozen fruit (a couple handfuls) in the food processor then add the instant pudding and turn it on. Slowly add some of the whipping cream until it gets to the consistency you want. Don't process the mixture for more than a minute of so.
Take the top off the food processor and serve... it makes about 3 servings (at least that's what they got from it.
I would imagine you could also use sugar free instant pudding and I know they make fat free whipping cream so it would be made diet.
I don't have a big enough food processor to put more than a half-handful of strawberries in it and certainly not big enough to put the other ingredients in. I'd love to try it. If anyone does please let us know if it worked.

Get a Butterball and use a cooking bag. Butterball's have the best flavor, of the frozen turkeys in my opinion, and the cooking bag gets the bird done quicker. And, if you don't want to go through all the trouble (ad DAYS) of defrosting the bird, a fresh turkey is always an option but you'll pay more for it. Also, as a tip from a friend of mine who was a chef, if you want a juicy breast/white meat cook it breast side down so all the juices will stay in the breast. It's a bit tricky to do that in a cooking bag but it can be done (speaking from personal experience). Also, the turkey will cook quicker if you don't stuff it (but there's nothing like stuffing straight out of the bird).

Wanda! Thank you! A cooking bag is a great idea and I never would have thought about that. #thclever663# (I don't have much cooking experience )

Butterballs have that little red thingy in the breast that pops up when it's done!!! Love it. And cooking bags are awesome. If you are careful and don't bust it, then the pan and rack will stay clean, and you can pour the juice out to make the gravy with. But my SIL likes to get a fresh turkey from a local farm, and since he does the bird cooking honors, he gets to pick the bird! He stuffs it with onions and apples for moistness and flavor, but I do miss the stuffing that is cooked inside the bird.

hahaha, yeah, and with what honeybaked would cost, I could buy me a plane ticket to Auckland! But buying fresh and having it smoked, that's a great idea! We used to smoke turkeys in the summer in our little barbeque smoker and they are soooo good. Not dry brown smoked, but tender and juicy and white smoked!!!
