A residency in Soho is good news and a great step in the rebuilding process. Gets the music out there and helps build up a fan base. That's all I'm sayin'.

Well, maybe Laurie and Wendy can make a few of those shows. I'd LOVE to be able to but with Bergenfield having just happened it ain't gonna happen, LOL. Maybe before that ends in March we can make a show...I LOVED the time I spent in NYC in 2006. Maybe I'd get to see more of Soho than I did on the last trip there. Good on ya, MiG. I'm thinking this was one of the things he couldn't talk about in Bergenfield cos nothing was signed at the time. He DID say he had stuff in the works but nothing was signed. Sounds like this may be a McCarthy's type of thing too, from 7:30 til late sounds good to me.

We just got back from Equus and I'm going back to NYC next Saturday with Mike so who knows Wendy and I are saving money but it's possible that we could do this one Thursday. I need to ask her. Her Con friends have this Rock of Ages thing planned in April now but I think I'm going to one show - these girls are planning more. I would love to see MiG though! BTW, Equus was amazing! I will have to send you an email about it - no autographs because of the mob scene afterwards but I was able to get an extra Playbill for you!

I am going to try for one of the March shows. Now way for Feb....we just paid off Boston, and Feb. is always our shortest month due to all the insurances due in Jan. I can imaging how awesome Equus was, especially with the seats you had!

I am going to try for one of the March shows. Now way for Feb....we just paid off Boston, and Feb. is always our shortest month due to all the insurances due in Jan. I can imaging how awesome Equus was, especially with the seats you had! The onstage seating was a very different experience for me, but awesome. We were looking down on them. We were facing the audience...very bizarre. At the curtain call, after they finished bowing to the audience, they turned around and did the same to us. Daniel was smiling and let me just say that he was so fantastic! It was such an intense play - a lot of anger and drama. Tonight is the last performance...wish I could have been able to see it again BTW, I hope you are able to come to a MiG performance in March. As I'm saving for my trip in May, I have to see if it's possible to come down there for a show in March. I would have to work the next day so I would have to rush to get the 11:10 PM train back home...it COULD work though. Will keep everyone posted!

www.eightmilecreek.com/index.htmI just emailed the venue asking that since there is no cover-charge, is the show also free. And I inquired about reservations because when I've been to small cabaret type clubs in the city, it's usually best to call and reserve a table close to the front, if possible. Hopefully they will respond back quickly. I'll let you all know.

Thanks Laurie, that is something I didn't think about. BTW, do you have any info source on finding cheap lodging in Soho. I'd love something within a few blocks of the venue, and I don't care too much about the condition...just clean sheets and bathroom is all I need...If we make it, it's gonna be a one-nighter, unless I find an awfully good deal! I am not sure which internet booking site finds the best deals, or if I should try a travel agent...like through AAA.

The Sohotel is only about 6 or 8 blocks from the venue but it's kinda expensive for one night for one person plus the cost of transport to and from the airport.

I'll copy this post here from lolas I would love ot go to a show. Not sure if I can afford it. I might be able to work out the dates to go to march 5th but not sure if anything else would work. Toni, It surprisingly is not very far from sohotel on Broome. Not sure if it is walkable though at night. I google mapped the building and looked at the building and there is a bit of gang graffiti on the buildings. The place itself has been getting good reviews for food and atmosphere. I know I didn't feel safe walking at night around sohotel before. I felt like the hotel was fairly safe A place where I have stayed before and liked very much is even cheaper though Hampton Inn Manhattan-Times Square North 851 Eighth Avenue, New York, New York, USA 10019 Tel: +1-212-581-4100 Fax: +1-212-974-7502
Very close to subway, 2 queen beds nonsmoking for $189 night plus tax. Includes hot breakfast check out this package-great deal

I've only ever stayed in Midtown Manhattan and those prices are not cheap. If you are splitting them with a bunch of people, then it should be ok. Re: what you showed, it seems like an awful lot to pay for an overnight trip - it is overnight, correct? It's too bad he wasn't playing a bunch of nights together.

This is an email from Eight Mile Creek - if Wendy and I were to go, we would have to get on the 5:50 pm train which brings us into Grand Central at 7:20 pm. I would like to reserve a table if possible for whenever or even if I'm able to go. Because I would have to eat dinner there. I would be leaving work at 4:30 and won't have time to eat because I need to get to the train station. Oh well, maybe it will work out - it's tough because of work and the fact that I can't stay very long in NYC as I have to catch the train back home because of work the following day Hi Laurie ,, it is a bit hard to reserve a table downstairs at eight mile it is a very intimate setting , f you get in early you should be fine , we are just trying to avoid reserved seating and all of that stuff ,,, if you were planning to eat dinner and you came in a bit early I guess we could do it ,,, though how many are in you’re party ?? Cheers Andrew for the Management... ------------------------------------ Eight Mile Creek 240 Mulberry St New York City, NY 10012 ph 212 431 4635 fax 212 937 3725 www.eightmilecreek.com
