Ames, we used to use Heartguard and the dogs never had any adverse reactions. But I have heard so much about how Border Collies and Australian Shepherds can have horrible reactions to ivermection that we switched to Interceptor. Just in case. I learn a lot of stuff about our dogs on an Australian Shepherd message board from breeders and vet techs. Yeah, I guess I am just a message board junkie!!!!

Ames, so the pet insurance is good, huh? I was going to check into it when we got our new dog but I haven't yet. When our old dog died it ended up costing us thousands too. Yeah Sandy... I totally think it's worth it... that way you don't get WHOPPED with a surgery bill or something. It covers yearly preventative care AND medicine... it's not that expensive especially for one pet. Although I have three so it's a little up there... If a surgery or accident happens it's covered and I think we only have a really small deductable. Like Britt said - there are several online. We just decided to go with VPI

Here is the thread, mb. But wasn't there a thread way back when, that has pet pictures? maybe it was old enough to have gotten erased.

I moved this from the Recipe thread Lucky says thanks for the recipe. Anything with peanut butter in it is a real treat to her Lucky, You're most welcome! Be sure & ask mum to buy the extra chunky peanut butter for those cookies. I LOVE the costume! Too cute! Thanks for bringing a smile to my face! P e a n u t . . B u t t e r We can't even say the word in this house. My little one was on meds for a collapsed trachea for many many years & the only way I could get her to take the dang pill was to hide it in peanut butter. Here's a pic from a few years back (we were in Kansas City, then) The one in my arms is my little love sponge that is no longer with me. Sam is in front of the fireplace and Heidi, Sam's girlfriend/playmate was over visiting. ahhhhh, the good 'ole days.

LMAO, I'm laughing because years ago we had a very LARGE Australian Cattledog/Lab mix that grew up with Toy Poodles and HE definitely was a lap dog, even though he weighed 85 pounds!

I adore Weimeraners. They are such beatiful and gentle dogs. I've had so many dogs, from the time I was small that it's so hard to keep them straight. My first dog was a black cocker spaniel named Blackie (duh) then there was a beagle named Suzie, followed by Rachel, a registered German Shepherd, Brownie, a collie mix, then Bo a german shepherd/Norwegian Elkhound Mix that I think also had some doberman in him cos he was black and tan. I went a long time without a dog then there was MacGregor, a Scottie, Jamison (Prince Jameson Tam O'Shanter to be exact) a Westie, then Duffy, a salt and pepper Scottie then General Jesse Li, a Lhaso Apso, then my first "Nigel"-Nicholas Nigel, a red cocker, then my first real lover dog, Koti (Dakota Silver Dreamer) a registered elkhound, Corey (Sebastian's Corey Babbee) a registered sheltie, Binks, a beagle mix, Kassee, a terrior mix and finally my beautiful baby, my second Nigel who is a Border Collie mix. Here's one of my favorite baby pictures of him: He was about 3 months old when that picture was taken and he still sleeps like that today... all 55 pounds of him, just ask Donna. He made it a point to sleep on her bed when we were in Chicago. And here he is all grown up: Sorry to have taken up so much space. Hpe y'all don't mind. I'm looking forward to seeing more furkids here that I haven't seen...not just doggies but kitties and horsies and any other furkids...I have a friend who has a guinea big that she dresses up each holiday but I don't have any pictures of the gp at the moment. Mine! ;D awwwwww another cutie! what's your babie's name? This is Inky. She is an australian shepherd, 9 yrs old, and a registered Therapy Dog. Aussies are very smart, like German Shepherds and Border Collies, and they want to please, so they are easy to train. But they require a lot of exercise and need to be kept busy....they need a job to do or they will destroy your house, def not an apartment dog.
